POST SCRIPT - The Destruction of the Sword of Lellzutho #WrongTurnAtAlbequerque - 6/28/24 and 7/5/24

 - About eighty years after the fall of Hedrimond, agèd Thessalie sent letters to Sharai and Felosyal to tie up the loose end of the Sword of Lellzutho which was stone shaped into a boulder to hide it decades ago.

- Sharai and Felosyal come to Mistverge to get Thessalie and they teleport to the area where the sword was hidden.

- They spend a couple of days scouting the area to try to find the cave where the sword was hidden.

- They come out of a wooden glen and Thessalie thinks that the landscape looks familiar, but instead of a boulder being where she thinks it should be, there is a wall.

- It kind of looks like a city's wall.

- Felosyal sees another group of beings moving towards the wall over there. They looks like orcs, maybe.

- There are two columns of the maybe-orcs who look like prisoners. There are 10 prisoners being guards by four guards who are also maybe-orcs.

- Thessalie says they should just go knock on the gate, so Sharai accompanies the tiny, wizened old halfling woman while Felosyal stealths off into the countryside.

- Three of the guards on the prisoners come over to the two woman approach and they are orc-shaped stone golems.

- The guards tell ST to lay down their weapons, take off their armor, and join the prisoners.

- ST don't agree to this.

STONE ORC BATTLE

- Felosyal sees the guards draw their weapons so she dashes over to Stone Orc1 of them and stabs him with her dagger of venom for 7 piercing dmg.

- Sharai takes a moment to examine the SOs and then moves to a strategic position and casts Cone of Cold on all three SO1 takes 15 cold dmg while SO2 and SO3 take 31 cold dmg.

- SO1 looks to Felosyal and misses punching her.

- SO4 starts moving to intercept as well. 

- Felosyal stabs SO1 again for 9 piercing dmg and then again for 5 piercing dmg.

- Thessalie walks up to SO2 and attempts to cast Stone Shape on him, but he is immune, so she touches her necklace and casts Bless on her team.

- SO2 punches Thess for 35 bludgeoning dmg

- SO3 misses punching the old lady.

 

- Felosyal Disengages with SO1 and moves to flank SO2 with Thess whom she stabs for 44 piercing dmg

- Sharai casts a sculpted Fireball that effects all the SOs without hurting herself or her friends, they all fail taking 26 fire dmg.

- SO1 moves up to Sharai and punches her but she manipulates him with magic to give his luck to Thessalie instead.

- SO4 runs in and flanks Felosyal then punches her for 42 (21 with Uncanny Dodge) bludgeoning dmg

- Thessalie casts Spiritual Weapon next to SO2 and smacks him for 14 force dmg and then she casts Sacred Flame on him for 15 radiant dmg.

- SO2 is too mad at Thessalie so tries to punch her but misses.

- SO3 moves to flank Thess with SO2 and punches her for 20 bludgeoning dmg

 

- Felosyal stabs SO2 for 43 piercing dmg right in the neck and his head crumbles into gravel when it hits the ground, she turns and misses SO4.

- Sharai casts another sculpted Fireball getting the three remaining SOs for 27 fire dmg.

- SO1 misses punching the wizard

- SO4 punches Felosyal for 15 bludgeoning dmg

- Thessalie misses SO3 with the Spiritual Weapon, but gets him with a Sacred Flame for 17 radiant dmg.

- SO3 punches Thessalie for 57 bludgeoning dmg and she loses Concentration on Bless.


- Felosyal Disengages with SO4 and moves to flank SO1 with Sharai and stabs him for 43 piercing dmg.

- Sharai casts a sculpted Wall of Fire on SO1 and SO3 for 22 fire dmg.

- SO1 misses punching the wizard then moves out of the WoF taking 9 piercing from the rogue as he moves taking his head off too.

- SO4 runs away.

- Thessalie hits SO3 with her Spiritual Weapon for 10 force dmg and then she Sacred Flames him for 16 radiant dmg.

- SO3 punches Thess for 24 bludgeoning dmg knocking her prone and then he stomps on her 25 bludgeoning dmg missing her but then as he moves away from her she gets him with another Sacred Flame and he burst into sparks in the Wall of Fire.

END OF BATTLE

- Sharai goes over to the orc prisoners and asks them some questions learns that the sometimes people get captures and then come back and they are now stone.

- Thessalie is too busy healing herself to take much notices of the surroundings.

- Felosyal notices that the wall has certain places where it is made of humanoid statues.

- They retreat away from the wall to take a break and strategize.

- Thessalie casts Planar Ally and a Planetar comes to their aid.

- The Planetar scoops all three of the troop up and flies a few circles around the compound which is maybe two or three city blocks in overall size. There are little buildings against the outer wall, there are lookout posts on the wall, and in the middle of this compound is the mouth of what they think is the mouth of the cave where they hid the sword that now has doors covering it.

- There are two stone golem / creatures on the wall taking watch and a third one moving things around.

- The Planetar puts them down between two buildings about 100' from the door.

- The doors to the cave are made of wood reinforced with metal and has a big lock.

- They go to sneak up to the door and Thessalie has trouble not making noise due to her shield-walker, so the elves each take an arm and pick her up between them and carry her over to the door, but then she loses her balance and knocks into the door making noise. One of the guards on the wall looks over, but doesn't see anything because invisible.

- Felosyal easily and handily picks the lock and soundlessly removes it.

- F tests the door and it opens fairly quietly, so they all squeeze inside the tiniest possible opening and quietly shut it behind them.

- Inside the doors there's a fairly wide passage lit with torches held by stone statue creatures. The first two inside doors are trolls. There is no sign of the spot where the sword was originally hidden.

- The team starts slowly creeping down the passageway and eventually it opens up into a large cavern with a cliff at their feet. There's a chasm with several mesa-like island connected to the cliff by rope bridges that lead to another terrace on the other side.

- The terrace on the other side has braziers filled with green fire.

- Despite their invisibility a voice sounds out, "Finally. New recruits."

- The being holding the Sword of Lellzutho looks like a lich of some kind.

 BATTLE AGAINST THE WIELDER OF THE SWORD OF LELLZUTHO

 - The Lich casts something dark and swirling and Thessalie and Felosyal take 31 cold dmg and Sharai takes 15

- Thessalie attempts to cast Guiding Bolt, but TL Counterspells it. It backfires on T for 8 psychic dmg. She then uses one of the Cure Wounds beads in her necklace to give herself 25 HP back.

-  Felosyal moves up and bonus Dashes and then shoots TL with her longbow for 12 piercing. In response to that TL says something under his breath and F takes 14 necrotic dmg and he teleports closer to her.

- Sharai casts Fireball such that it hits TL without hitting Felosyal for 14 fire dmg.

- The Sword glows again only this time it travels up his arms and his eyes and mouth glow and then he opens his mouth and a line of dark energy shoots out and T and F take 35 necrotic dmg while S takes 17, and T and F are frightened for 1 minute. Then he moves up to Felosyal and slices into her with TSoL for 7 piercing and 8 necrotic dmg (halved with Uncanny Dodge)

- Felosyal takes 5 necrotic dmg then she activates the poison on her Dagger of Venom then she misses with her offhand.

 

- TL casts Enervation on T for 25 necrotic dmg and there is still a line of dark energy connecting her to the sword

- Thessalie closes her eyes beseeches Michshakal to Disintegrate the Sword of Lellzutho into harmless dust and she is is illuminated by a beam of holy, light blue which then when she opens her eyes they glow with the intense light that shoots out and hits the sword which light then travels up his arms causing him to scream in pain (107 divine force dmg). The dark light connecting T to the sword dissipates and she and F are also not Frightened anymore. She darts 20' out of line with F and S.

- Felosyal takes 10 necrotic entropy dmg, and then smacks him with her dagger for 8 piercing, but he saves against the poison, then he teleports over to T, so she chases him over there and flanks with T and stabs him with her offhand for 35 piercing dmg.

- Sharai moves up next to T and casts Greater Invisibility on her. 

- TL looks at Sharai and she feels oppressed by a magical force and she takes 95 necrotic dmg and then he teleports out of the center of the cirlce made by the three women and F and S take 7 psychic dmg and he heals some. T is no longer Invisible, by the way. Then he moves back over to F and hits her for 8 piercing and 15 necrotic dmg (halved with Uncanny Dodge) then he hits her again for 7 piercing and 12 necrotic dmg

 

- TL calls down another swirl of dark energy at the bunched up women and F takes 28 cold dmg and S and T take 14 

- Thessalie moves up to Felosyal and TL and casts Greater Restoration out of her Necklace of Prayer Beads removing the Curse that gives her damage and prevents her from healing, then she casts Mass Cure Wounds at 7th level for 54 HP to everyone.

- F moves around to flank with T again and stabs him for 35 piercing dmg, then misses with her offhand.

- Sharai dashes back towards the cave opening and then turns and casts Disintegrate on TL, but he Counterspells it and S takes 11 psychic dmg.

- TL teleports out of being flanked and F takes 13 psychic dmg and he regains some HP, and then he opens his mouth and shoots dark energy again washing over all the women for 31 necrotic dmg then he walks back up to F and stabs her for 9 piercing and 5 necrotic dmg (halved with Uncanny Dodge) and then misses.

 

- TL casts Enervation on F for 7 necrotic dmg 

- Thessalie walks up to F and cast Regenerate on her for 56 HP and then uses her Necklace of PB to cast Cure Wounds on F for another 21 HP 

- F moves around to flank with T and misses with her dagger, then stabs him for 45 piercing dmg. 

- Sharai casts a sculpted Sunburst on TL for 22 radiant dmg.

- TL teleports out of flanking dealing 9 psychic dmg to T, then shoots a beam of dark energy at T for 47 necrotic dmg and then walks back up to her and stabs her for 9 piercing and 12 necrotic dmg and then again for 8 piercing and 4 necrotic

 

- TL pulls another swirl of dark energy down on T and F for 12 cold dmg.

- Thessalie casts Spirit Guardians at 5th level then casts Sacred Flame on TL for 18 radiant dmg then she moves around a little to make it easier for F to get into a flanking position again

- F moves up to flank again and stabs him for 56 piercing dmg, and he bleeds out a little dark energy dealing 7 necrotic damage to her and then teleports in Sharai's direction. F runs over to where TL teleported to and then grazes him for 1 piercing dmg.

- S attempts to Telekinetically Shove TL back within 15' of T, but he Legendarily Resists it, so then she casts Chain Lightning on him for 26 lightning dmg then she darts a little farther back up the entry tunnel

- TL teleports farther from T and then sends a dark beam of energy on F for 12 necrotic dmg then a breaths dark energy in a 120' cone again dealing 33 necrotic dmg to S and T and 16 to F, then he walks back up to F and stabs her for 8 piercing and 10 necrotic (halved with Uncanny Dodge) and then again for 6 piercing and 13 necrotic dmg. 


- TL casts Enervation on Felosyal but she Dodges completely.

- T moves between her friends and to within 10' of TL and then casts Mass Heal on all the women so they are all back to full. TL fails to Counterspell

- Felosyal moves behind TL and readies an attack with the trigger of TL taking Spirit Guardian dmg. 

- Sharai casts a 5th level Fireball but TL Counterspells it and S takes 9 psychic dmg

- TL gets 12 radiant Spirit Guardians dmg and then F stabs him for 8 piercing dmg then he teleports behind F and breaths dark energy on the three of them again dealing 32 dmg to F and T and 16 to S. Then he walks up to F and misses stabbing her then gets her for 9 piercing and 11 necrotic dmg

 

- TL calls in another swirl dark energy on S and T for 15 cold dmg.

- Thessalie moves up to TL and then casts Sacred Flame on him for 24 radiant dmg. 

- F moves around to flank again, and then readies another attack for when he takes Spirit Guardian dmg.

- Sharai casts a 5th level Fireball (Counterspell fails) for 18 fire dmg.

- TL takes 12 radiant dmg from the SGs, and F stabs him for 72 piercing dmg, getting him right in the heart and then ripping it out of him chopping his arm off and he turns to black dust and the sword glows briefly before clattering to the ground. 


- Thessalie collapses into a heap losing her grip on her shield-walker and it clatters to the ground as well.

- Sharai casts an Unseen Servant to prop / hold Thess up, so that she can watch Sharai destroy the Sword.

- Sharai casts Disintegrate at 7th level on the Sword, but it looks the same as it did before.

- Felosyal guards the entry tunnel while Sharai and Thessalie discuss what to do about the sword. Sharai does have the Wish spell, but she might lose the ability to use it again, so they decide to sleep on the decision in Sharai's Magnificent Mansion.

- Sharai casts a second Unseen Servant to carry the sword into the mansion, and has the first who is still there help Thessalie into the place.

- Thessalie has trouble getting to sleep, but anytime she starts to get to sleep even a little bit, she has horrible nightmares of destruction and petrification. 

- She waits until the elves have finished their Trances and then asks them to guard her back while she steps outside and casts Temple of the Gods with her 8th level spell slot. She sleeps there instead.

- After breakfast the next morning, Thessalie says goodbye to her dear friends, gives her necklace to Sharai to give to her niece when she goes back to Mistverge, then she takes the sword and casts Gate and carries it directly into the court of Mishakal to ask her one last favor directly to her face.

- Sharai and Felosyal peek out of the tunnel and see that all the living orcish stone golems are now just stone statues who can't hurt anyone else.

- Sharai teleports the two of them back to Arrandale to continue their lives. Sharai with her school of magic and Felosyal with her "Trade Guild".

Post Post Script - The sword's presence even though it was hidden in the cave, drew magic to it. Other creatures at first, and eventually this lich showed up and figured out what the source of the magic was and excavated it. He found the sword had some properties that he could use since it couldn't petrify him as he is undead. So he got some slaves in and semi-pretrified the slaves so that he could control them, but they did eventually just become statues, so he needed to keep getting more slaves in, hence the orc captives at the beginning. He was working on building up power and an army of stone slaves to expand his power base, but luckily our heroes showed up before he got too much of that going.

EPILOGUES

Sharai Tunuvian - Evocation Wizard
- Sharai goes to check out the school that is under construction, and meet some of the people who will be the administrators and instructors
- She decides that she will teach at the school and then have adventures on school breaks, rather than Indiana Jones

Felosyal Nilo - Former Urchin Housebreaker
Felosyal in the aftermath of saving the world from certain doom, decides to put her skills to use in rebuilding her childhood home, Arrandale. While construction and brute strength might not be her strong points, the need for supplies to be negotiated and their transport to be guarded cannot be overstated. The travel and connections also provide ample opportunities for building trade connections in preparation for setting up a trade guild, with the intention of being the first established in the rebuilt city someday. Not a thieves guild, a trade guild (yeah.... okay...).

Felosyal works closely with her childhood friend, Captain Amastacia, in coordinating the cleanup and organization of the rebuilding. She also picks up some tips on new city secrets in Arrandale that have come into fruition since she left. Felosyal's stealthy nature and winged cloak allow her to supervise efforts with an iron fist, or an iron dagger as the case may be.

She finds several urchins hidden in the city ruins, stranded by the now extinguished darkness that had been living on a diet of rodents and stolen leftovers from the Elven troops and abandoned homes. She takes these urchins under her wings and recruits them as workers, having them run errands in exchange for battle training and safe keeping. Felosyal believes that if they were able to avoid the threat of the Drow, they will probably make excellent soldiers someday. Or thieves.

Thessalie Groundswallow - Cleric of Mishakal 
- After spending some time with her family and getting Eldon over the trauma of being Resurrected, Thessalie spends time thinking and praying to figure out what else she might need to do to fix the situation she, her friends, and Eldon have caused.
- Step 1: Arrange a meeting with the King of Rhoanor to cast Greater Restoration on him to break his curse connection to the now destroyed Mouth of Lellzutho
- Step 2: Convince the leaders of the two human nations and the elven nation to have written diplomatic rules (a treaty, but she's not really a diplomat) to prevent future wars
- Step 3: Encourage trade and commerce between the nations because nations who trade are less likely to start wars which would end commerce
- Step 4: Spend the rest of her life visiting various peoples in the nations and trying to solve whatever problems might occur in the area such as outbreaks of sickness, floods that might displace populations, or famine because happy people also don't start wars
- Once she's nearing the end of her life, she would ask her old companions who are still in their elven youth to help her find and destroy the Sword of Lellzutho that they hid so many decades ago. That way if they don't succeed it's not a young person in their prime being petrified by the magical disease.
- From their she heads west to visit the Dwoids again. They may or may not build a tiny robot and upload her consciousness into it. Sharai might know, but she's not telling.

In the World
- The civilians of the House of Dalen area were overrun by the orcs. Some surrendered and ceded the lands while fleeing to lands still controlled by humans. Others could not suffer an orc to live and went down fighting. So ended the Morgan clan.
-With so many more resources at their disposal the orcs fought less and built fortifications and more permanent settlements creating a rough civilization of their own for the first time. In need of building supplies and other goods in their new towns and started making polite(ish) inquiries in the nearby human settlements to begin trade. Their diplomatic scouts found an orc employed by a trading company and hired him to be an intermediary for their needs and goods while the humans are still wary. Eaglesham becomes a flourishing town as they trade more and more goods with the orc nation with Orgul leading the diplomatic front without ever actually realizing.
- Gerard stayed friendly with the Groundswallow clan for centuries after checking in with Thessalie and meeting Eldon and her parents, providing them with exotic goods for trade in return for old books, maps, and bits of information. Many generations later, most of the Groundswallows have forgotten that Gerard is a dragon and not just another biggun, but they do marvel at how he never seems to age.
- Eldon shakes off the effects of being Resurrected, but he is changed by the experience. His connection with Chaos does extend his lifetime a bit, but the bigger change is to his personality how his attention span and impulsiveness is greatly increased. He helps his father and then his brother with the expansion of the trading caravan, but disappears to investigate treasure rumors and other interesting tidbits for months at time before returning, but he never gets into as much trouble as he did on his first adventure.

On the Tibia - December 08, 2017

- Cat vet stories

- While Sharai burns the majority of the formerly animated Eldon-Abomination-Skeleton, Thessalie examines a tibia and determines that it's down to about 30% evilness and 70% normal Eldon-halfing person.
- T casts Greater Restoration on the tibia, and it's down to about 2% evilness.
- Marshall Kelwynn tells Thessalie that for her help eliminating the Dark Elf threat to the surface, his superiors have permitted him to offer her any help or materials she needs to bring back her brother. She very gratefully gives him a materials list and asks if it would be possible to have it ready for her  the next day. She wants to cast Greater Restoration on the tibia one more time before she brings Eldon back.
- Felosyal wanders off and goes back to gambling with off duty soldiers
- Sharai finishes burning the other skeletal remains, scoops them into the bag provided by T, then goes back to verablly sparring with Rychell
- Thessalie Sends to Gerard, "We eliminated the Drow threat! The Necromancer aide creating Darkness is dead. He had my brother's remains. Elves are to help Resurrect him. How're you?"
- Gerard returns, "Congratulations on your success! I have recovered my strength. There is a new dragon interested in the now vacant lair. Hopefully he will integrate well."
- The day passes.
- In the evening, FST are sitting around the campfire after dinner, and there is a popping noise. An elf in a fancy robe has Teleported to their vicinity.
- S jumps and the elf walks over to her gives her a bag, tells her that her package has been delivered and then pops back out.
- The lovely leather worked bag is magicky.
- S throws it over T while she is excitedly asks if it's magicky since it clearly came from a a wizard.
- T disappears to her waist into the small bag.
- S takes the bag back off of T and sticks her arm into it to the shoulder and manages to dig a letter from Tholnor. There is also a letter from her mother and the local Mage's Guild as well as a golden broach signifying her new title of "Senior Wizard". (See below.)
- Felosyal shoots an arrow into the bag, which disappears with no damage to the bag.
- T offers to make her new broach glow like her holy symbol does, but S politely (for S) turns her down. "We could be glowy buddies!" "No. Just no."
- The next morning T casts Greater Restoration on the tibia again, then she uses the provided materials to cast Resurrection.
- The bone floats to the height it would be in a halfling's body, then tendrils extend from the bone into a full skeleton. Then muscles and organs form in the proper locations before skin grows over all. Then there is a naked halfing with at least somewhat of a family resemblance to T laying there unconscious and naked, though his hair is now silver, gray, and straight.
- S throws her cloak over him, and agrees to go asking after clothes for him.
- T checks his vitals, and he seems fine. As she's messing with him, he wakes up.
- S and Eldon chat a bit by the fire while she uses Detect Magic quietly on him. He seems to still have a connection to the Chaos Plane. Like an umbilical cord or a tether.
- T Sends to her mother, "Mumsy, I've got Eldon here with me. He's whole, and I'll get him home to you. Where is that right now, anyway? Love you!"
- Cora responds, "I'm so glad you found Eldon! We're still camped in Colebrook, but we were considering making for Fort Armistan."
- T then casts Planar Ally and asks for Omrel, Aasimar of Mishakal.
- Omrel says that the tether to the Chaos plane is now a part of Eldon's soul. The only way to remove the tether would be to remove Eldon. He does however remove the ashes leftover from the evil-skeleton-Eldon and destroys them permanently.
- T introduces Eldon to the Marshall then they say good bye.
- S goes to Rychell and show off the Senior Wizard clasp-broach thing (maybe rub his face in it a bit)
- EFST go a little bit away and S casts a Teleport spell to get to just outside of Colebrook.

- 5,000XP ea. for 174,400 XP ea.

Secondary Fratricide - November 17, 2017

- Traffic is a sign of the devil.
- Out of context 

- Rychell shows up to see about FST joining him for dinner. More frenemy bickering, mention of Orgul
- They enjoy dinner and more bickering.
- Thessalie chats with the quartermaster, but he can't give her the supplies without the marshal's permission.
- T goes back and sets up her tent in the mages' area of camp and sleeps.
- Sharai lurks around the various campfires listening to random conversations: she hears people's discussing the march to get here, discussing their (FST) feats (some true, some exaggerated, some completely tall tales), but mostly inane chatter
- Felosyal joins in with a bit of gambling and bilks some warriors out of 10 SP
- The marshal agrees to the meeting, and FST attend first thing in the morning.
- In attendance: Marshal, FST, and 5 mage-types which includes Rychell
- The marshal is uneasy with the plan, so he can't agree to actively help with the Plan, but he will set up a perimeter as a precautionary measure.
- T spends the morning collecting ingredients and then performing the rite (not the left) on Talathon's ashes so that only a True Resurrection spell could return him to the land of the living.
- After lunch FST head to an open area outside of town to enact the Plan
- T casts a Magic Circle around the Eldon Orb
- T casts Warding Bond on F
- T casts Guardian of Faith adjacent to the Magic Circle
- FST positions themselves and S casts Dispel Magic on the conjured amber substance releasing the hostile skeletal creature it attempts to run at T, but ramps into the Magic Circle

- Secondary Fratricide
- S casts Fireball on HS for 19 fire dmg
- F moves up to the edge of the circle and stabs HS with her magicky dagger for 10 piercing dmg then slices it with her longsword for 1 slashing dmg
- HS takes 10 radiant GoF dmg then opens its mouth and a gout of flame bursts forth dealing 23 fire dmg and 35 necrotic dmg to T
- T shoots HS with her crossbow for 9 piercing and 13 radiant dmg then she casts Spiritual Weapon as a bonus action for 12 force dmg
- S Overchannels a Cone of Cold but the thing dodges and only takes 32 cold dmg watching its reaction she knows it's immune to Poison and Necrotic dmg, it gets Adv on ST versus magical effects, and can't be
- F misses HS with her magicky dagger and then slices it with her longsword for 8 slashing dmg
- HS takes 10 radiant GoF dmg then it casts Dispel Magic on the Magic Circle (Poof! Niece of a goat!) then it swings its claws at F for 5 slashing dmg and 5 necrotic dmg then it starts to run from F and she manages to get it with her magicky dagger for 7 piercing dmg. It moves up to S.
- T casts Flame Strike on HS for 5 fire dmg and 6 radiant dmg then she moves her SW up to it, but that attack misses, she then runs towards S
- S casts Cone of Cold on HS for 36 cold dmg
- F runs up to the HS and stabs it for 38 piercing dmg and then slices it with her longsword for 8 slashing
- HS jumps into the air and then slams into the ground causes a concussive wave to spread outward for 22 thunder dmg and 17 necrotic dmg, S manages to get a Hellish Rebuke off for 17 fire dmg
- T shoots HS with her crossbow for 12 piercing dmg and 10 radiant dmg then gets it with the SW for 12 force dmg
- S casts Cone of Cold for 22 cold dmg to HS then she slides a few feet over to flank with F
- F almost hits HS with her magicky dagger, but it manages to block at the last second (reaction thingy) then she does get it with her longsword for 7 slashing dmg
- HS turn to F and slashes her with its claws for 1 slashing dmg and 4 necrotic dmg then he turn again and gets S for 12 slashing dmg and 19 necrotic dmg she gets a less successful Hellish Rebuke for 3 fire dmg then he hits S again for 14 slashing and 25 necrotic dmg
- T casts Prayer of Healing on FST for 37 HP (+7 for T), she gets it with her SW for 13 force dmg, bring it down!

How to Crack the Egg - November 10, 2017

- Musical interlude for Synchro solo music
- Dragon on table?!

- Thessalie makes a quick little pouch out of the oil cloth she had for Lellzutho bits and sweeps the Talathon ashes into it for rituals later to prevent him from rising from the dead
- From the roof, Felosyal telepathically tells S & T what's going on outside the palace from her perch on the roof
- Sharai proposes that we retreat to safety.
- F proposes climbing up the rope to the roof and then moving the rope to climb down the outside of the building. T points out that archers or magicians could pick them off as they climb down.
- FST climb to the roof to take a rest and watch the battle.
- Rory's Telepathic Bond fades
- After a bit, the Elves have surrounded the palace and seem ready to make a move to take the palace.
- Thessalie uses Thaumaturgy to boom her voice out in a friendly "Hullo."
- There's a poof of smoke and two Elves appear on the roof next to T.
- They agree not to shot the party while they climb down from the roof on a rope.
- FST climb down from the roof via rope.
- S's descent is not graceful
- F's descent is also not graceful, but she covers better
- T's part way down when the knot comes undone and she falls onto S. They are now a heap with legs and arms
- There is much chuckling, then the Elves help them and bring them to their Marshal
- There's an important looking person organizing things in the clear space in front of the palace.
-  Marshal Kelwynn greets them. They introduce themselves. He was expecting Sharai because of Rychell.
- As FST are walking to the camp the Elves are in the process of making, S feels someone tap on her shoulder. It is Rychell, he definitely saw her "Dismount". They snark at each other while walking. Decidedly frenemies.
- FST agree to meet him for dinner later. S takes them a little way off, and creates a Leomund's Tiny Hut as a ritual. S shows her the Eldon in Amber. It takes her a minute, but then she is frantically digging through her bag.
- S convinces her to wait at least one day for her to study the EiA before they attempt to Resurrect him. T then has to carefully sort out her Healer's and Herbalism kits from the mess she's made of her things before she goes to help at the infirmary tent.
- S covers the EiA back in her cloak, then takes her long rest.
- F goes in search of a bath. Possibly several baths if she can get them.
- Time passes.
- S "wakes" up and casts Detect Magic as a ritual - The EiA is glowing brightly, and it has a strong Necromantic aura.
- She looks more closely. The skeleton itself seems to be giving off the Necromantic aura while the amber-like substance surrounding it is Conjuration.
- She continues to study the intricate weave of magic in and around the item, she decides that the skeleton was created using Necromancy and then encased in the amber-like substance after to contain the power exuded by the essence in the skeleton. The skeleton will probably be animate and will probably be hostile. S is now pouting because she probably has another fight on her hands.
- F came back and Tranced as well, and is just "waking up" as S begins pouting.
- T returns to the Hut at dusk.
- They concoct the plan that they will put the EiA in a Magic Circle (cast by T), then they will Dispel Magic (cast by S) on the amber-like substance to release the (probably) Animate and hostile skeleton which will be contained. Then they can pulverize the creature through normal (fighty-fighty) means hopefully leaving bits which T can then Resurrect whereas S believe if they just Dispel Magic on the skeleton it might poof into nonexistence leaving nothing for Resurrection.

Terminate Bad Times, Oh Yeah! - November 3, 2017

- Two Ravenclaws, a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin sit down to play DnD. . .

Picking back up in the middle of a battle:
- Thessalie casts a brilliant Dispel Magic. There's a blindingly bright flash of light, and it's the SUN! S & T are blinded for two turns. DisAdv on Attack and ST.
- Felosyal Disengages from the Behir and Dashes around the room towards the suddenly bright light and up to the Drow Soldier.
- Sharai casts Cone of Cold at the DS for 28 cold damage
- The Behir moves back up the corridor into the central room and up to Felosyal, then breathes lightning at T and F, completely missing F and grazing T with 33 lightning dmg
- DS swings wildly at F managing to get her for 6 piercing and 10 poison
- T casts Regenerate on her self regaining 33 HP. She then misses DS with her SW.
- F activates the poison on her magicky dagger, but misses then misses again with her longsword
- At this point the party can hear utter pandemonium going on outside. S casts Fireball for 33 fire dmg on the Behir and killing the DS
- B misses biting Felosyal and then grabs her with its tail for 16 bludgeoning dmg and 13 slashing dmg and she is now Grappled
- T misses the B with her SW for 9 radiant dmg then she moves back into the room out of breath alignment with F
- F stabs the B in the face with her magicky dagger for 36 piercing dmg but misses with her longsword
- S moves to see the B then casts Fireball on it for 39 fire dmg
- B bites F for 22 piercing dmg and she is swallowed
- T hits the B with her SW for 12 force dmg then she casts Sacred Flame on it for 19 radiant dmg and it dies

- Felosyal cuts her way out of the belly of the dead Behir
- S uses Prestidigitation to clean the gastric juices and blood from F
- T pats her friend down in a panic after watching her get eaten
- S begins examining the device that created the Darkness. It is a pill-shaped amber orb about 36" in the long direction and 18" in the short direction. There is a small skeleton (halfling-esque) with funny looking arms and a bulbous, bumpy mandible in the orb. It is surrounded by a circle of crystals embedded in the floor and sort of focused at the orb.
- S lifts the ovoid orb out of the crystal and then she and F hear someone running in their direction, so runs into the open area and casts Leomund's Tiny Hut
- A man, who is Talathon, runs into the room.
- T burst out, "Talathon!"
- He responds, "Not you again!"

The Battle with the Necromancer
- Tal summons two Drow Revenants on the edges of the Hut.
- F shoots Tal with her longbow for 10 piercing
- T casts Warding Bond on F
- S readies a level 3 Fireball if Tal Dispels Magic on the Hut
- DR1 waits
- DR2 waits
- Tal casts Dispel Magic on the Hut, triggering S casting Fireball, but Tal casts Counterspell so that the Fireball fails
- F moves to Tal and stabs him with her magicky dagger for 8 piercing dmg then she misses him with her longsword
- T Turns Undead, and nothing happens. "Mother Puss Bucket!" She then runs up to Tal screaming like a tiny, adorable banshee
- S casts Fireball on everything for 13 fire dmg on Tal and 26 on the DRs
- DR1 moves to S and punches her 11 bludgeoning dmg and grabs her so she is now Grappled then punches her again for 13 bludgeoning dmg
 - DR2  moves to flank S and punches her for 8 bludgeoning dmg and then misses her with its second punch
- Tal casts Time Stop freezing everyone in place
- Tal casts Globe of Invulnerability then moves into the corner where he can't be flanked
- Tal casts Mirror Image
- Tal casts Fire Shield
- Tal casts Lightning Bolt on F and S for 25 lightning dmg
- F misses Tal with her magicky dagger then misses him again with her longsword
- T quickly studied the Revenants and knows they Resist Necrotic and Poison dmg, are immune to Poison, and can't be Charmed, Frightened, Paralyzed, Poisoned, or Stunned. She casts Spirit Guardians.
- S casts Fireball on the DRs and they take 32 fire dmg
- DR1 takes 18 radiant SG dmg then punches S for 13 bludgeoning dmg and 11 bludgeoning dmg
- DR2 takes 6 radiant SG dmg then punches S for 16 bludgeoning dmg and 14 bludgeoning dmg
- Tal takes 14 radiant SG dmg then casts Banishment on T, but it hits one of the Spirit Guardians instead and it pops
- F stabs the wall next to Tal (Crit Fail) with her magicky dagger then slices him with her longsword destroying one of his Mirror Image duplicates
- T casts Flame Strike on Tal for 6 fire dmg and 12 radiant dmg
- S casts Thunder Wave on the DRs for 9 thunder dmg and then she runs into the room where the Darkness was originating and sticks herself in a corner
- DR1 takes 7 radiant SG dmg and moves to flank F with Tal then punches her for 4 bludgeoning dmg after missing once
- DR2 moves to T and takes 13 radiant SG dmg and punches her for 9 bludgeoning dmg and again for 11 bludgeoning dmg
- Tal takes 9 radiant SG dmg then he Misty Steps (Bonus Action) out of his corner then he casts Cone of Cold on everything including the DRs dealing 14 cold dmg to FST and the DRs both take 28 cold dmg
- F stabs DR1 with her magicky dagger for 33 piercing dmg taking 4 bludgeoning dmg from a glancing blow as she darts past DR2 then she slices Tal with her longsword killing a second duplicate
- T casts Guardian of Faith and moves to the other side of the DR2
- S Crit Fails her first Death Save
- DR2 takes 6 radiant SG dmg and 10 radiant GoF dmg then misses T with both his punches
- Tal takes 15 radiant SG dmg and 10 radiant GoF dmg then casts Cone of Cold again for 32 cold dmg to FST and destroying DR2
- F stabs at him and destroys the last duplicate and then she decapitates him with her longsword

- T asks S to burn Talathon's body, while they are doing that F climbs the rope and looks out on the chaos in which some very organized Elves are systematically killing the fleeing and panicking Drow
- S holds her fire spell until Talathon's body is reduced to a pile of ash leaving only a silver ring with diamonds embed around the perimeter which S picks up and pockets to examine later

- 7,940 XP ea for 154,400 XP total ea. (NOW level to 14)

Darkness and Drow and Behir, Oh My! - September 15, 2017

- Gold standard versus printing all the money --> Crazy coworker theories
- New birb! A cuddly one this time.
- So much coughing! 

- Three days after the perfect teleport later the Elven army is expected in the next day or two.
- Sharai sends to Rychell again, "You're super slow. We have a plan, but we need the Elves' distraction. What is your expected time of arrival?"
- He responds, "The Darkness is slowing us down. I thought you were going to take care of that. I'm not leading, but it shouldn't be more than a couple of days."
- S thinks impotently at him that he is an idiot.
- FST decide not to wait another few days, so they sneak back toward the city.
- They find a two-story shop near the damaged side of the palace onto which they can climb on the roof. Getting onto the roof is somewhat difficult. They heard some patrols on the way in, but managed to avoid running into any.
- S casts Rory's Telepathic Bond.
- There is a visible hole in the roof of the palace, and the darkness beyond the hole is the darkest of the Darkness.
- Felosyal does a fly-by of the hole, then lands on the roof and tells the group she doesn't see anyone.
- S casts Teleport, but she and Thessalie pop into existing above the roof of the next building over then crash through the thatch roof.
- ST immediately scramble out of the building and dive into the hold in the palace they found before and then wiggle into the rubble of the downed building to hide. A patrol goes by towards the building and doesn't notice the two party members.
- F finally works up the nerve to look directly into the room. She sees what almost looks like a cylinder of darkness from under which a very faint yellow-ish glow just barely illuminating the walls.
- ST slowly manage to sneak back to the center of the palace
- F throws a pebble through the darkness, and she hears something happen, but she can't see where it went

- S can tell that the door is both magically and mechanically locked, so she tells F not to unlock it until they've dispelled the magic.
- F hasn't even gotten into the room yet, so that's not a problem
- ST formulate a plan to take out the guards before they try to unlock the door.
- F climbs down a rope into the room avoiding the Darkness beam. She then inches her way around the edge of the room, but her arm grazes the edge of the Darkness, and it feels icy cold against her skin. She manages not to gasp, then she is next to the door. She also notices that the beam of Darkness seems to start about 2' AFF.

SURPRISE ROUND
- T casts Silence around the two guards.
- S casts Chain Lightning on the two guards for 48 lightning dmg

TAKING DOWN THE GUARDS
- T casts Dispel Magic on the door, and the lock spell poofs out of existence with a small flash of light then runs up to DG1
- F attempts to pick the door's lock, but does not quite get it. . .
- S casts Cone of Cold on the two guards, DG1 takes 12 cold dmg and DG2 takes 25 cold dmg. DS2 is now a statue made of ice. He is grotesquely horrible.
- A Drow Mage (DM) comes running and casts Lightning Bolt on S for 24 lightning dmg, S reacts with Hellish Rebuke for 8 fire dmg
- S hears a growing sound from deep in the banquet hall. She warns her friends through the Telepathic Bond. The Behir that tunneled into the refugee camp dashes into the Silence bubble and misses biting and tail whipping T.
- Another Drow Guard runs (DG3) up behind S and attacks her with his sword for 10 piercing dmg and 19 poison dmg, then stabs her again for 7 piercing and 7 poison dmg
- DG1 attacks T with his sword for 7 piercing and 7 poison dmg too then misses her on his second swing
- T stabs DG1 with her dagger for 7 piercing and 4 radiant dmg.
- F still can't. . . get. . . the door unlocked. . .
- S casts Vampiric Touch on DG3 for 20 necrotic dmg and she heals 10 HP. The feeling of gaining energy this way is slightly intoxicating.
- DM casts Magic Missile with 2 darts going to S for 8 force dmg and 2 darts to T for 10 force dmg.
- B discharges his Lightning Breath at T for 46 lightning dmg and the door into the magic room with F is blown apart. The silence bubble is also destroyed.
- DG3 stabs at S and misses then misses again
- DG1 stabs at T and misses then stabs her for 10 piercing and 12 poison
- T casts Prayer of Healing on herself and S for 29 HP, then as a bonus action conjures her Spiritual Weapon but misses DG1.
- F dashes up the DG1 and stabs him with her magicky dagger for 52 piercing dmg and his head flies into the Behir.
- S drains more energy from DG3 for 18 necrotic dmg and heals 9 HP. DG3 uses his opportunity attack to stab her for 6 piercing and 10 poison. S then moves into the room with the Darkness engine to study the magic source. She presses herself against the wall and sees some kind of magical apparatus under the cylinder with crystals and something glowing in the middle
- DM moves up into where the silence bubble used to be and casts Cloud Kill centered next to S so that FST are all in the Cloud.
- B steps back from the noxious Cloud and readies the action to attack anything that comes out of the Cloud
- DG3 readies an action to attack anything that comes out of the Cloud
- T takes 10 poison Cloud dmg from the Cloud then casts Insect Plague in the general direction she remembers the Behir being (DM and B take 46 piercing dmg - DM is now dead). She then feels her way along the adjacent corpse to the wall then follows the wall out of the Cloud
- F takes 13 poison Cloud dmg then follows the doors and walls out of the Cloud then dashes around the back of the Throne Room and readies the action that if the B moves adjacent to her she will stab it with her her magicky dagger
- S takes 25 poison Cloud dmg. She is disoriented and does not take any action on her turn.
- DM is dead and the Cloud disperses
- B moves out of the Insect Cloud and up the corridor next to F who attacks it for 8 piercing dmg then tries to bite her and misses then misses her with its tail also. He also does not recharge his breath.
- DG3 moves forward into the room and shoots T with a crossbow for 10 piercing dmg
- T moves back into the doorway of the Darkness engine room and casts Dispel Magic on the apparatus (Successfully!) then she attacks DG3 with her Spiritual Weapon for 6 force dmg
