- At The Lonely Mare the next morning having breakfast- T still sulking about the lack of orc mount
- Barkeep used to buy scented soap from GTTT made by T's mother - made skin very soft - secret ingredient is goat's milk
- Mid afternoon girls come to a large circular patch of frost with some small dead animals - S detects magic of some sort - centered slightly off the road
- finally explain everything to F
- F throws a rock and nothing happens to it so FST cross with frost crunching underfoot
- Once they get a little past the frost they hear a growl and turn to see a decomposing brown bear lumbering towards them with two decomposing cubs coming out of the bushes
- T uses Turn Undead and one of cubs runs off, but then the Mama Bear charges towards them
- Battle!
- S uses Color Spray on both, but only the baby is blinded
- BB - tries to claw S, but misses
- F - slashes down the BB
- T - Guiding Bolt at MB - 16 radiant dmg
- Mr. Orc comes charging out of the bushes and chops MB "You no hurt my friends!"
- MB bites Mr. Orc and takes him down
- S casts Burning Hands at MB for 11 fire dmg
- F Shoots her longbow at MB but misses and then runs up to it
- T also runs up to the MB and stabs it with her dagger for 7 piercing dmg
- MB bites T for 8 piercing dmg then slashes her with its claws for 12 slashing dmg
- S hits MB with Fire Bolt for 5 fire dmg and it falls permanently dead
- T stabilizes and wakens the orc "Orgul not feel so good. Big bear hurt Orgul bad."
- T shushes him and bandages him up then bandages herself
- F and S say Orgul can come as long he promises to bathe at least once a week
- T gives him some soap and the girls send him off to wash in the next stream that they come to
- Orgul comes back sopping wet with mud in his hair having lost the chunk of soap
- O shoulders T and her pack and they all continue up the road
- At dusk they come to a very small ruined keep, F sneaks over and peaks into the open door and sees a large room with several doors leading off the entry hall, one of which is ajar and there maybe movement at the ceiling, F motions everyone forward so that all peek in the door
- T calls ''Hello?" - Bats and bat-like creatures descend and attack! there are 4 tiny bats and two giant bats
- Better Bat Battle!
- TB2 - bites T for 4 piercing dmg and it latches onto her arm
- S - casts Flaming Sphere behind GB1 and TB2 and GB1 gets slightly singed
- T - casts Spiritual Weapon and the glowing spectral weapon deals 3 force dmg to GB1 and then stabs and completely impales it
- TB4 bites O and latches onto him
- TB3 bites F for 4 piercing dmg and latches onto her
- GB1 bites at T but she dodges then it takes 10 fire dmg from the FS
- TB1 bites F for 4 piercing dmg and latches onto her
- O rips the bat biting him from his arm and flings it away
- F slices the two tiny bats off of her arm and manages to deal 5 slashing dmg to GB1
- GB2 bites at S and misses
- S casts Burning Hands at GB2 and it dodges, but still takes 6 fire dmg then rams her FS into GB1 which also dodges but still take 3 fire dmg which kills it
- T misses TB4 with Sacred Flame but then hits it with her SW killing it and it swings and deals 6 force dmg to GB2
- O charges GB2 and misses
- F moves around and flanks with T then beheads the last creature
- the keep has the emblem of the eye on the crumbling wall directly across from the entry
- there is speculation about whether or not there may be residual magic or if the creep guy's friends lived here
- They make camp for the night in the derelict edifice.
