Sharai Tunuvian - Evocation Wizard
- Sharai goes to check out the school that is under construction, and meet some of the people who will be the administrators and instructors
- She decides that she will teach at the school and then have adventures on school breaks, rather than Indiana Jones

Felosyal Nilo - Former Urchin Housebreaker
Felosyal in the aftermath of saving the world from certain doom, decides to put her skills to use in rebuilding her childhood home, Arrandale. While construction and brute strength might not be her strong points, the need for supplies to be negotiated and their transport to be guarded cannot be overstated. The travel and connections also provide ample opportunities for building trade connections in preparation for setting up a trade guild, with the intention of being the first established in the rebuilt city someday. Not a thieves guild, a trade guild (yeah.... okay...).

Felosyal works closely with her childhood friend, Captain Amastacia, in coordinating the cleanup and organization of the rebuilding. She also picks up some tips on new city secrets in Arrandale that have come into fruition since she left. Felosyal's stealthy nature and winged cloak allow her to supervise efforts with an iron fist, or an iron dagger as the case may be.

She finds several urchins hidden in the city ruins, stranded by the now extinguished darkness that had been living on a diet of rodents and stolen leftovers from the Elven troops and abandoned homes. She takes these urchins under her wings and recruits them as workers, having them run errands in exchange for battle training and safe keeping. Felosyal believes that if they were able to avoid the threat of the Drow, they will probably make excellent soldiers someday. Or thieves.

Thessalie Groundswallow - Cleric of Mishakal 
- After spending some time with her family and getting Eldon over the trauma of being Resurrected, Thessalie spends time thinking and praying to figure out what else she might need to do to fix the situation she, her friends, and Eldon have caused.
- Step 1: Arrange a meeting with the King of Rhoanor to cast Greater Restoration on him to break his curse connection to the now destroyed Mouth of Lellzutho
- Step 2: Convince the leaders of the two human nations and the elven nation to have written diplomatic rules (a treaty, but she's not really a diplomat) to prevent future wars
- Step 3: Encourage trade and commerce between the nations because nations who trade are less likely to start wars which would end commerce
- Step 4: Spend the rest of her life visiting various peoples in the nations and trying to solve whatever problems might occur in the area such as outbreaks of sickness, floods that might displace populations, or famine because happy people also don't start wars
- Once she's nearing the end of her life, she would ask her old companions who are still in their elven youth to help her find and destroy the Sword of Lellzutho that they hid so many decades ago. That way if they don't succeed it's not a young person in their prime being petrified by the magical disease.
- From their she heads west to visit the Dwoids again. They may or may not build a tiny robot and upload her consciousness into it. Sharai might know, but she's not telling.

In the World
- The civilians of the House of Dalen area were overrun by the orcs. Some surrendered and ceded the lands while fleeing to lands still controlled by humans. Others could not suffer an orc to live and went down fighting. So ended the Morgan clan.
-With so many more resources at their disposal the orcs fought less and built fortifications and more permanent settlements creating a rough civilization of their own for the first time. In need of building supplies and other goods in their new towns and started making polite(ish) inquiries in the nearby human settlements to begin trade. Their diplomatic scouts found an orc employed by a trading company and hired him to be an intermediary for their needs and goods while the humans are still wary. Eaglesham becomes a flourishing town as they trade more and more goods with the orc nation with Orgul leading the diplomatic front without ever actually realizing.
- Gerard stayed friendly with the Groundswallow clan for centuries after checking in with Thessalie and meeting Eldon and her parents, providing them with exotic goods for trade in return for old books, maps, and bits of information. Many generations later, most of the Groundswallows have forgotten that Gerard is a dragon and not just another biggun, but they do marvel at how he never seems to age.
- Eldon shakes off the effects of being Resurrected, but he is changed by the experience. His connection with Chaos does extend his lifetime a bit, but the bigger change is to his personality how his attention span and impulsiveness is greatly increased. He helps his father and then his brother with the expansion of the trading caravan, but disappears to investigate treasure rumors and other interesting tidbits for months at time before returning, but he never gets into as much trouble as he did on his first adventure.

On the Tibia - December 08, 2017

- Cat vet stories

- While Sharai burns the majority of the formerly animated Eldon-Abomination-Skeleton, Thessalie examines a tibia and determines that it's down to about 30% evilness and 70% normal Eldon-halfing person.
- T casts Greater Restoration on the tibia, and it's down to about 2% evilness.
- Marshall Kelwynn tells Thessalie that for her help eliminating the Dark Elf threat to the surface, his superiors have permitted him to offer her any help or materials she needs to bring back her brother. She very gratefully gives him a materials list and asks if it would be possible to have it ready for her  the next day. She wants to cast Greater Restoration on the tibia one more time before she brings Eldon back.
- Felosyal wanders off and goes back to gambling with off duty soldiers
- Sharai finishes burning the other skeletal remains, scoops them into the bag provided by T, then goes back to verablly sparring with Rychell
- Thessalie Sends to Gerard, "We eliminated the Drow threat! The Necromancer aide creating Darkness is dead. He had my brother's remains. Elves are to help Resurrect him. How're you?"
- Gerard returns, "Congratulations on your success! I have recovered my strength. There is a new dragon interested in the now vacant lair. Hopefully he will integrate well."
- The day passes.
- In the evening, FST are sitting around the campfire after dinner, and there is a popping noise. An elf in a fancy robe has Teleported to their vicinity.
- S jumps and the elf walks over to her gives her a bag, tells her that her package has been delivered and then pops back out.
- The lovely leather worked bag is magicky.
- S throws it over T while she is excitedly asks if it's magicky since it clearly came from a a wizard.
- T disappears to her waist into the small bag.
- S takes the bag back off of T and sticks her arm into it to the shoulder and manages to dig a letter from Tholnor. There is also a letter from her mother and the local Mage's Guild as well as a golden broach signifying her new title of "Senior Wizard". (See below.)
- Felosyal shoots an arrow into the bag, which disappears with no damage to the bag.
- T offers to make her new broach glow like her holy symbol does, but S politely (for S) turns her down. "We could be glowy buddies!" "No. Just no."
- The next morning T casts Greater Restoration on the tibia again, then she uses the provided materials to cast Resurrection.
- The bone floats to the height it would be in a halfling's body, then tendrils extend from the bone into a full skeleton. Then muscles and organs form in the proper locations before skin grows over all. Then there is a naked halfing with at least somewhat of a family resemblance to T laying there unconscious and naked, though his hair is now silver, gray, and straight.
- S throws her cloak over him, and agrees to go asking after clothes for him.
- T checks his vitals, and he seems fine. As she's messing with him, he wakes up.
- S and Eldon chat a bit by the fire while she uses Detect Magic quietly on him. He seems to still have a connection to the Chaos Plane. Like an umbilical cord or a tether.
- T Sends to her mother, "Mumsy, I've got Eldon here with me. He's whole, and I'll get him home to you. Where is that right now, anyway? Love you!"
- Cora responds, "I'm so glad you found Eldon! We're still camped in Colebrook, but we were considering making for Fort Armistan."
- T then casts Planar Ally and asks for Omrel, Aasimar of Mishakal.
- Omrel says that the tether to the Chaos plane is now a part of Eldon's soul. The only way to remove the tether would be to remove Eldon. He does however remove the ashes leftover from the evil-skeleton-Eldon and destroys them permanently.
- T introduces Eldon to the Marshall then they say good bye.
- S goes to Rychell and show off the Senior Wizard clasp-broach thing (maybe rub his face in it a bit)
- EFST go a little bit away and S casts a Teleport spell to get to just outside of Colebrook.

Secondary Fratricide - November 17, 2017

- Traffic is a sign of the devil.
- Out of context 

- Rychell shows up to see about FST joining him for dinner. More frenemy bickering, mention of Orgul
- They enjoy dinner and more bickering.
- Thessalie chats with the quartermaster, but he can't give her the supplies without the marshal's permission.
- T goes back and sets up her tent in the mages' area of camp and sleeps.
- Sharai lurks around the various campfires listening to random conversations: she hears people's discussing the march to get here, discussing their (FST) feats (some true, some exaggerated, some completely tall tales), but mostly inane chatter
- Felosyal joins in with a bit of gambling and bilks some warriors out of 10 SP
- The marshal agrees to the meeting, and FST attend first thing in the morning.
- In attendance: Marshal, FST, and 5 mage-types which includes Rychell
- The marshal is uneasy with the plan, so he can't agree to actively help with the Plan, but he will set up a perimeter as a precautionary measure.
- T spends the morning collecting ingredients and then performing the rite (not the left) on Talathon's ashes so that only a True Resurrection spell could return him to the land of the living.
- After lunch FST head to an open area outside of town to enact the Plan
- T casts a Magic Circle around the Eldon Orb
- T casts Warding Bond on F
- T casts Guardian of Faith adjacent to the Magic Circle
- FST positions themselves and S casts Dispel Magic on the conjured amber substance releasing the hostile skeletal creature it attempts to run at T, but ramps into the Magic Circle

- Secondary Fratricide
- S casts Fireball on HS for 19 fire dmg
- F moves up to the edge of the circle and stabs HS with her magicky dagger for 10 piercing dmg then slices it with her longsword for 1 slashing dmg
- HS takes 10 radiant GoF dmg then opens its mouth and a gout of flame bursts forth dealing 23 fire dmg and 35 necrotic dmg to T
- T shoots HS with her crossbow for 9 piercing and 13 radiant dmg then she casts Spiritual Weapon as a bonus action for 12 force dmg
- S Overchannels a Cone of Cold but the thing dodges and only takes 32 cold dmg watching its reaction she knows it's immune to Poison and Necrotic dmg, it gets Adv on ST versus magical effects, and can't be
- F misses HS with her magicky dagger and then slices it with her longsword for 8 slashing dmg
- HS takes 10 radiant GoF dmg then it casts Dispel Magic on the Magic Circle (Poof! Niece of a goat!) then it swings its claws at F for 5 slashing dmg and 5 necrotic dmg then it starts to run from F and she manages to get it with her magicky dagger for 7 piercing dmg. It moves up to S.
- T casts Flame Strike on HS for 5 fire dmg and 6 radiant dmg then she moves her SW up to it, but that attack misses, she then runs towards S
- S casts Cone of Cold on HS for 36 cold dmg
- F runs up to the HS and stabs it for 38 piercing dmg and then slices it with her longsword for 8 slashing
- HS jumps into the air and then slams into the ground causes a concussive wave to spread outward for 22 thunder dmg and 17 necrotic dmg, S manages to get a Hellish Rebuke off for 17 fire dmg
- T shoots HS with her crossbow for 12 piercing dmg and 10 radiant dmg then gets it with the SW for 12 force dmg
- S casts Cone of Cold for 22 cold dmg to HS then she slides a few feet over to flank with F
- F almost hits HS with her magicky dagger, but it manages to block at the last second (reaction thingy) then she does get it with her longsword for 7 slashing dmg
- HS turn to F and slashes her with its claws for 1 slashing dmg and 4 necrotic dmg then he turn again and gets S for 12 slashing dmg and 19 necrotic dmg she gets a less successful Hellish Rebuke for 3 fire dmg then he hits S again for 14 slashing and 25 necrotic dmg
- T casts Prayer of Healing on FST for 37 HP (+7 for T), she gets it with her SW for 13 force dmg, bring it down!

How to Crack the Egg - November 10, 2017

- Musical interlude for Synchro solo music
- Dragon on table?!

- Thessalie makes a quick little pouch out of the oil cloth she had for Lellzutho bits and sweeps the Talathon ashes into it for rituals later to prevent him from rising from the dead
- From the roof, Felosyal telepathically tells S & T what's going on outside the palace from her perch on the roof
- Sharai proposes that we retreat to safety.
- F proposes climbing up the rope to the roof and then moving the rope to climb down the outside of the building. T points out that archers or magicians could pick them off as they climb down.
- FST climb to the roof to take a rest and watch the battle.
- Rory's Telepathic Bond fades
- After a bit, the Elves have surrounded the palace and seem ready to make a move to take the palace.
- Thessalie uses Thaumaturgy to boom her voice out in a friendly "Hullo."
- There's a poof of smoke and two Elves appear on the roof next to T.
- They agree not to shot the party while they climb down from the roof on a rope.
- FST climb down from the roof via rope.
- S's descent is not graceful
- F's descent is also not graceful, but she covers better
- T's part way down when the knot comes undone and she falls onto S. They are now a heap with legs and arms
- There is much chuckling, then the Elves help them and bring them to their Marshal
- There's an important looking person organizing things in the clear space in front of the palace.
-  Marshal Kelwynn greets them. They introduce themselves. He was expecting Sharai because of Rychell.
- As FST are walking to the camp the Elves are in the process of making, S feels someone tap on her shoulder. It is Rychell, he definitely saw her "Dismount". They snark at each other while walking. Decidedly frenemies.
- FST agree to meet him for dinner later. S takes them a little way off, and creates a Leomund's Tiny Hut as a ritual. S shows her the Eldon in Amber. It takes her a minute, but then she is frantically digging through her bag.
- S convinces her to wait at least one day for her to study the EiA before they attempt to Resurrect him. T then has to carefully sort out her Healer's and Herbalism kits from the mess she's made of her things before she goes to help at the infirmary tent.
- S covers the EiA back in her cloak, then takes her long rest.
- F goes in search of a bath. Possibly several baths if she can get them.
- Time passes.
- S "wakes" up and casts Detect Magic as a ritual - The EiA is glowing brightly, and it has a strong Necromantic aura.
- She looks more closely. The skeleton itself seems to be giving off the Necromantic aura while the amber-like substance surrounding it is Conjuration.
- She continues to study the intricate weave of magic in and around the item, she decides that the skeleton was created using Necromancy and then encased in the amber-like substance after to contain the power exuded by the essence in the skeleton. The skeleton will probably be animate and will probably be hostile. S is now pouting because she probably has another fight on her hands.
- F came back and Tranced as well, and is just "waking up" as S begins pouting.
- T returns to the Hut at dusk.
- They concoct the plan that they will put the EiA in a Magic Circle (cast by T), then they will Dispel Magic (cast by S) on the amber-like substance to release the (probably) Animate and hostile skeleton which will be contained. Then they can pulverize the creature through normal (fighty-fighty) means hopefully leaving bits which T can then Resurrect whereas S believe if they just Dispel Magic on the skeleton it might poof into nonexistence leaving nothing for Resurrection.

Terminate Bad Times, Oh Yeah! - November 3, 2017

- Two Ravenclaws, a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin sit down to play DnD. . .

Picking back up in the middle of a battle:
- Thessalie casts a brilliant Dispel Magic. There's a blindingly bright flash of light, and it's the SUN! S & T are blinded for two turns. DisAdv on Attack and ST.
- Felosyal Disengages from the Behir and Dashes around the room towards the suddenly bright light and up to the Drow Soldier.
- Sharai casts Cone of Cold at the DS for 28 cold damage
- The Behir moves back up the corridor into the central room and up to Felosyal, then breathes lightning at T and F, completely missing F and grazing T with 33 lightning dmg
- DS swings wildly at F managing to get her for 6 piercing and 10 poison
- T casts Regenerate on her self regaining 33 HP. She then misses DS with her SW.
- F activates the poison on her magicky dagger, but misses then misses again with her longsword
- At this point the party can hear utter pandemonium going on outside. S casts Fireball for 33 fire dmg on the Behir and killing the DS
- B misses biting Felosyal and then grabs her with its tail for 16 bludgeoning dmg and 13 slashing dmg and she is now Grappled
- T misses the B with her SW for 9 radiant dmg then she moves back into the room out of breath alignment with F
- F stabs the B in the face with her magicky dagger for 36 piercing dmg but misses with her longsword
- S moves to see the B then casts Fireball on it for 39 fire dmg
- B bites F for 22 piercing dmg and she is swallowed
- T hits the B with her SW for 12 force dmg then she casts Sacred Flame on it for 19 radiant dmg and it dies

- Felosyal cuts her way out of the belly of the dead Behir
- S uses Prestidigitation to clean the gastric juices and blood from F
- T pats her friend down in a panic after watching her get eaten
- S begins examining the device that created the Darkness. It is a pill-shaped amber orb about 36" in the long direction and 18" in the short direction. There is a small skeleton (halfling-esque) with funny looking arms and a bulbous, bumpy mandible in the orb. It is surrounded by a circle of crystals embedded in the floor and sort of focused at the orb.
- S lifts the ovoid orb out of the crystal and then she and F hear someone running in their direction, so runs into the open area and casts Leomund's Tiny Hut
- A man, who is Talathon, runs into the room.
- T burst out, "Talathon!"
- He responds, "Not you again!"

The Battle with the Necromancer
- Tal summons two Drow Revenants on the edges of the Hut.
- F shoots Tal with her longbow for 10 piercing
- T casts Warding Bond on F
- S readies a level 3 Fireball if Tal Dispels Magic on the Hut
- DR1 waits
- DR2 waits
- Tal casts Dispel Magic on the Hut, triggering S casting Fireball, but Tal casts Counterspell so that the Fireball fails
- F moves to Tal and stabs him with her magicky dagger for 8 piercing dmg then she misses him with her longsword
- T Turns Undead, and nothing happens. "Mother Puss Bucket!" She then runs up to Tal screaming like a tiny, adorable banshee
- S casts Fireball on everything for 13 fire dmg on Tal and 26 on the DRs
- DR1 moves to S and punches her 11 bludgeoning dmg and grabs her so she is now Grappled then punches her again for 13 bludgeoning dmg
 - DR2  moves to flank S and punches her for 8 bludgeoning dmg and then misses her with its second punch
- Tal casts Time Stop freezing everyone in place
- Tal casts Globe of Invulnerability then moves into the corner where he can't be flanked
- Tal casts Mirror Image
- Tal casts Fire Shield
- Tal casts Lightning Bolt on F and S for 25 lightning dmg
- F misses Tal with her magicky dagger then misses him again with her longsword
- T quickly studied the Revenants and knows they Resist Necrotic and Poison dmg, are immune to Poison, and can't be Charmed, Frightened, Paralyzed, Poisoned, or Stunned. She casts Spirit Guardians.
- S casts Fireball on the DRs and they take 32 fire dmg
- DR1 takes 18 radiant SG dmg then punches S for 13 bludgeoning dmg and 11 bludgeoning dmg
- DR2 takes 6 radiant SG dmg then punches S for 16 bludgeoning dmg and 14 bludgeoning dmg
- Tal takes 14 radiant SG dmg then casts Banishment on T, but it hits one of the Spirit Guardians instead and it pops
- F stabs the wall next to Tal (Crit Fail) with her magicky dagger then slices him with her longsword destroying one of his Mirror Image duplicates
- T casts Flame Strike on Tal for 6 fire dmg and 12 radiant dmg
- S casts Thunder Wave on the DRs for 9 thunder dmg and then she runs into the room where the Darkness was originating and sticks herself in a corner
- DR1 takes 7 radiant SG dmg and moves to flank F with Tal then punches her for 4 bludgeoning dmg after missing once
- DR2 moves to T and takes 13 radiant SG dmg and punches her for 9 bludgeoning dmg and again for 11 bludgeoning dmg
- Tal takes 9 radiant SG dmg then he Misty Steps (Bonus Action) out of his corner then he casts Cone of Cold on everything including the DRs dealing 14 cold dmg to FST and the DRs both take 28 cold dmg
- F stabs DR1 with her magicky dagger for 33 piercing dmg taking 4 bludgeoning dmg from a glancing blow as she darts past DR2 then she slices Tal with her longsword killing a second duplicate
- T casts Guardian of Faith and moves to the other side of the DR2
- S Crit Fails her first Death Save
- DR2 takes 6 radiant SG dmg and 10 radiant GoF dmg then misses T with both his punches
- Tal takes 15 radiant SG dmg and 10 radiant GoF dmg then casts Cone of Cold again for 32 cold dmg to FST and destroying DR2
- F stabs at him and destroys the last duplicate and then she decapitates him with her longsword

- T asks S to burn Talathon's body, while they are doing that F climbs the rope and looks out on the chaos in which some very organized Elves are systematically killing the fleeing and panicking Drow
- S holds her fire spell until Talathon's body is reduced to a pile of ash leaving only a silver ring with diamonds embed around the perimeter which S picks up and pockets to examine later

- 7,940 XP ea for 154,400 XP total ea. (NOW level to 14)

Darkness and Drow and Behir, Oh My! - September 15, 2017

- Plate tectonics real - Expanding Earth false
- Gold standard versus printing all the money --> Crazy coworker theories
- New birb! A cuddly one this time.
- So much coughing! 

- Three days after the perfect teleport later the Elven army is expected in the next day or two.
- Sharai sends to Rychell again, "You're super slow. We have a plan, but we need the Elves' distraction. What is your expected time of arrival?"
- He responds, "The Darkness is slowing us down. I thought you were going to take care of that. I'm not leading, but it shouldn't be more than a couple of days."
- S thinks impotently at him that he is an idiot.
- FST decide not to wait another few days, so they sneak back toward the city.
- They find a two-story shop near the damaged side of the palace onto which they can climb on the roof. Getting onto the roof is somewhat difficult. They heard some patrols on the way in, but managed to avoid running into any.
- S casts Rory's Telepathic Bond.
- There is a visible hole in the roof of the palace, and the darkness beyond the hole is the darkest of the Darkness.
- Felosyal does a fly-by of the hole, then lands on the roof and tells the group she doesn't see anyone.
- S casts Teleport, but she and Thessalie pop into existing above the roof of the next building over then crash through the thatch roof.
- ST immediately scramble out of the building and dive into the hold in the palace they found before and then wiggle into the rubble of the downed building to hide. A patrol goes by towards the building and doesn't notice the two party members.
- F finally works up the nerve to look directly into the room. She sees what almost looks like a cylinder of darkness from under which a very faint yellow-ish glow just barely illuminating the walls.
- ST slowly manage to sneak back to the center of the palace
- F throws a pebble through the darkness, and she hears something happen, but she can't see where it went

- S can tell that the door is both magically and mechanically locked, so she tells F not to unlock it until they've dispelled the magic.
- F hasn't even gotten into the room yet, so that's not a problem
- ST formulate a plan to take out the guards before they try to unlock the door.
- F climbs down a rope into the room avoiding the Darkness beam. She then inches her way around the edge of the room, but her arm grazes the edge of the Darkness, and it feels icy cold against her skin. She manages not to gasp, then she is next to the door. She also notices that the beam of Darkness seems to start about 2' AFF.

SURPRISE ROUND
- T casts Silence around the two guards.
- S casts Chain Lightning on the two guards for 48 lightning dmg

TAKING DOWN THE GUARDS
- T casts Dispel Magic on the door, and the lock spell poofs out of existence with a small flash of light then runs up to DG1
- F attempts to pick the door's lock, but does not quite get it. . .
- S casts Cone of Cold on the two guards, DG1 takes 12 cold dmg and DG2 takes 25 cold dmg. DS2 is now a statue made of ice. He is grotesquely horrible.
- A Drow Mage (DM) comes running and casts Lightning Bolt on S for 24 lightning dmg, S reacts with Hellish Rebuke for 8 fire dmg
- S hears a growing sound from deep in the banquet hall. She warns her friends through the Telepathic Bond. The Behir that tunneled into the refugee camp dashes into the Silence bubble and misses biting and tail whipping T.
- Another Drow Guard runs (DG3) up behind S and attacks her with his sword for 10 piercing dmg and 19 poison dmg, then stabs her again for 7 piercing and 7 poison dmg
- DG1 attacks T with his sword for 7 piercing and 7 poison dmg too then misses her on his second swing
- T stabs DG1 with her dagger for 7 piercing and 4 radiant dmg.
- F still can't. . . get. . . the door unlocked. . .
- S casts Vampiric Touch on DG3 for 20 necrotic dmg and she heals 10 HP. The feeling of gaining energy this way is slightly intoxicating.
- DM casts Magic Missile with 2 darts going to S for 8 force dmg and 2 darts to T for 10 force dmg.
- B discharges his Lightning Breath at T for 46 lightning dmg and the door into the magic room with F is blown apart. The silence bubble is also destroyed.
- DG3 stabs at S and misses then misses again
- DG1 stabs at T and misses then stabs her for 10 piercing and 12 poison
- T casts Prayer of Healing on herself and S for 29 HP, then as a bonus action conjures her Spiritual Weapon but misses DG1.
- F dashes up the DG1 and stabs him with her magicky dagger for 52 piercing dmg and his head flies into the Behir.
- S drains more energy from DG3 for 18 necrotic dmg and heals 9 HP. DG3 uses his opportunity attack to stab her for 6 piercing and 10 poison. S then moves into the room with the Darkness engine to study the magic source. She presses herself against the wall and sees some kind of magical apparatus under the cylinder with crystals and something glowing in the middle
- DM moves up into where the silence bubble used to be and casts Cloud Kill centered next to S so that FST are all in the Cloud.
- B steps back from the noxious Cloud and readies the action to attack anything that comes out of the Cloud
- DG3 readies an action to attack anything that comes out of the Cloud
- T takes 10 poison Cloud dmg from the Cloud then casts Insect Plague in the general direction she remembers the Behir being (DM and B take 46 piercing dmg - DM is now dead). She then feels her way along the adjacent corpse to the wall then follows the wall out of the Cloud
- F takes 13 poison Cloud dmg then follows the doors and walls out of the Cloud then dashes around the back of the Throne Room and readies the action that if the B moves adjacent to her she will stab it with her her magicky dagger
- S takes 25 poison Cloud dmg. She is disoriented and does not take any action on her turn.
- DM is dead and the Cloud disperses
- B moves out of the Insect Cloud and up the corridor next to F who attacks it for 8 piercing dmg then tries to bite her and misses then misses her with its tail also. He also does not recharge his breath.
- DG3 moves forward into the room and shoots T with a crossbow for 10 piercing dmg
- T moves back into the doorway of the Darkness engine room and casts Dispel Magic on the apparatus (Successfully!) then she attacks DG3 with her Spiritual Weapon for 6 force dmg

Failed Spies - August 25, 2017

- FST start wandering around trying to find a room with a piece of roof or wall missing so that Felosyal can fly up and investigate the room with the magic
- As they are wandering around Thessalie hears in her head the voice of Mistress Whiteborne, "The elves are very concerned about the Drow. They are sending armies from Wistaria and Minnedosa which should arrive within a week."
- She replies, "We're in Arrandale trying to find the source of the magicky darkness. Human necromantic advisor may have helped create artifact. Do you know Talathon's whereabouts?"
- Sharai wonder if she should send to Tholnor to ask about the armies
- As they are wandering the party walk into a room with two guards, they are definitely seen.

- Battle in Ruins
- Drow Soldier 2 casts Fairy Fire on FST, but they all manage to dodge. He draws his two short swords.
- S casts Leomund's Tiny Hut to prevent the soldiers from escaping and getting reinforcements.
- F rolls a Stealth check of 34 with her bonus action, activates the poison on her magicky dagger and throws it at DS2 for 11 poison dmg and 28 piercing dmg and he is Poisoned for 1 minute.
- T steps out of the Hut and casts Insect Plague on the soldiers as quietly as she can DS1 takes 20 piercing dmg and DS2 takes 10 piercing dmg from biting locusts. She then retreats back into the Hut.
- DS3 casts Darkness on the edge of the Hut so the he and his partner are hidden.
- DS1 also casts Darkness then moves to the wall and takes 32 piercing insect dmg.
- DS2 follows his friend to the wall then takes 18 piercing insect dmg and dies.
- S says "We're leaving!" and casts Teleport, removing FST to the Safe House. A perfect Teleport.

- As they are bedding down to rest, S does a Sending to Tholnor, "We are within the darkness of the Drow and have been Sent word that the elves are coming. Who do I know that is coming with them?"
- Tholnor responds, "I was not aware the Drow were on the surface. I will inquire about the situation and let you know what I find."
- T Sends to Mistress Whiteborne, "Temporarily safe. Have not yet dispelled Darkness. Knowledge of Talathon or especially epic dark spells would be really helpful right about now."
- T hears back, "Talathon has not been seen in several months. He is a powerful necromancer. Darkness is usually confined. Large scale would require a powerful source."
- Sharai is unimpressed with this information. "Well, duh."
- S casts Leomund's Tiny Hut as a ritual just in case they're found.

- Over the next two days of hanging out to give the Drow searchers a chance to cool down, S finally hears back from Tholnor, "The Niannan Counsel has dispatched two divisions to Arrandale. Rychell Savaris is leading a company of mages from Wistaria. Good luck." Rychell was a student at the same time as Sharai, though a few years her junior.
- S responds, "That sycophantic teacher's pet? He's the 101st reason I left. If I save his ass, I'm never going to let him live it down."
- P.S. A division has about 3,000 members.
- S Sends to Rychell Savaris, "I've changed my mind. If I see you again, I won't turn you into a jellybean. I am helping from within the Darkness of the Drow. Hurry your ass up."
- Rychell Savaris responds very arrogantly, "Don't worry. We'll be there in a few days to take care of business. Try not to get yourself killed in the meantime."

Into the Basket of Eggs - August 4, 2017

- The hideout is a run down farm house with a fireplace the girls can't use if they want to stay hidden.
- There are some musty smelling blankets strewn around, and a few faded, childish drawings tacked to the walls.
- FST rest.
- There is more arguing from Sharai about her not wanting to sneak into the city to poke around.
- She is overruled.

- SKILLZ CHALLENGE: Infiltrate and Investigate the Remains of the Palace
- As they head toward the city, there's a wall of rubble the refugees had piled out of their way. Felosyal jumps and leaps and to the top and lowers her rope for her companions (Acrobatics - 22 - Success!)
- At the top of the rubble pile, FST find themselves on the NEC of the city. S has a sudden thought that she should have cast this back in the safe house, but better late than never and she casts Rary's Telepathic Bond so the party can communicate without speaking out loud (Arcana - 23 - Success!)
- There's a noise, so the girls jump into an open basement door, and T casts Silence to cover every sound they could possibly make (Prayer (made up skill for applied religion) - 23 - Success!)
- Outside a drow patrol goes by, two of them are riding their insect mounts. She tries to decide what route they would take on a patrol in this part of town, but she can't take all the destruction into account. We end up face to face with the 4-person patrol (Insight - 17 - Failure)
- S grabs F & T's sleeves and drags them down a nearby ally (Perception - 20 - Success!) A signal of red sparks goes up into the sky from where they are running.
- Thessalie starts asking F questions about her childhood here in the city, specific questions about the few incidents she heard stories about to help jog her memories (Insight - 28 - Success!)
- F leads her team in sneaking to the outer wall of the palace where they find a broken spot by which they make their way into the building (Stealth - 29 - Rousing success!)

- FST find themselves in a corner where a pitch black, long corridor meets another such that there is a path south or a path west. The only light comes from Thessalie's Eternal Flame Holy Symbol.
- FST heads south.
- The building slowly becomes more intact until FST get to an area lit with torches. It's the palace's entry hall, and there are two drow guards flanking the door leading further into the building.
- FST back away slowly and quietly from the entry hall, and as soon as they get far enough away that they can no longer see the light from the torches they start opening doors
- The first door they open leads to a cleaning supply with another door on the far side. It opens to another hallway running parallel to the first like an inner ring. There are more doors on the opposite side of this hallway as well, and two of the doors are open with flickering lights beyond.
- F sneaks to one of the doors and sees three Drow seated around the table having a drink and complaining all the patrols since there's nobody around. Apparently, the queen's advisor is jumpy, and he maybe is the reason they are on the surface in the first place.
- She then sneaks to the other door and sees an empty barracks room.
- Rary's Telepathic Bond cuts off while F is transmitting this description.
- F sneaks back to her friends and the wizard renews the spell. They head more towards the center of the building
- In the very center of the palace, there's a rotunda with four large sets of doors, one set of doors is open and leads to a banquet hall, another door clearly has some of the roof missing, and there's some pretty intense magic coming from that room. The other door is flanked by Drow guards and probably leads the former reception room, now probably the throne room, though the doors are closed so FST can't be sure.
- FST back down the corridor out of sight and immediate hearing of the guards and S casts Unseen Servant. She directs the Servant to "Open the red door when it is closed."
- F sneaks closer again to listen to the guards. The door opens several times and the guards keep trying to close it. A human man comes out and says to the guard in Elven "What the hell are you doing? We're having important discussions in here, keep it closed whatever it takes." The guard has to stand there holding the door closed, but the servant is pulling on it and he has to fight to keep it closed. The door does pop open the first time they go to switch who's holding the door closed before they get a system down for the hand off.
- One guard asks if the place is haunted, but the other says that they have control of all the ghosts and they're all outside.
- S creates a second Unseen Servant to try to open the door hiding the magicky feeling, but it's locked.
- One guard finally goes to get help holding the doors closed (they open in).
- He comes back with two more guards to help keep the doors closed, but one of them is clearly a higher rank, and he says that they should let the queen know what is going on.
- A few minutes later, three people come out of the room: a Drow woman wearing black and purple glittery robes, the human, and the officer.
- The human immediately checks the locked doors. They are still sealed.
- The queen orders a search of the palace.
- The queen and the human go down separate hallways to go rest.

In Which Thessalie Sends to All the People - July 28, 2017

- Thessalie casts Heal on Sharai, while Godrigon does the same for the Captain
- Father Godrigon says the creature was a Behir (meaning "Endless Terror) which normally lives in caverns deep underground
- FST finish breakfast and then T Mends some tents
- During second breakfast, FST hear yelling that "Someone is coming!" - S "What now?"
- T stuffs her face as quickly as possible, and the party goes to see that there are four large creatures approaching the camp from the south around the city wall - they are being ridden by armored, sword toting Drow
- The creatures look like giant insects with pointy mandibles and large, chitinous, shiny black plates with purple inflections
- The lead Drow asks to speak to the leader of the camp
- Sharai, "Well, it's not me, but what do you want, Cousin of the Night?"
- To offer an invitation to pay fealty to the Queen of the new surface kingdom of Déorroth (Nest of Spiders, but T thinks it means Basket of Eggs, S tell her the eggs are full of spiders), Kiira Iym'bryn
- The Drow are doing the darkness thing. Possibly with the help of Takhisis?
- Thessalie is very upset. She believes Takhisis's ability to aid the Drow may be a direct result of her Divine Intervention destroying Lellzutho in a keeping the universe in balance kind of way.
- Talking happens, and the refugees are organized to go through a Teleportation Circle to Mistverge
- While everyone is organizing, T Sends to Alethra, "Sending 57 Arrandale refugees to Circle. Dark Elves establishing surface kingdom in magical night here. Warn city leaders. Darkness may spread as they gain power."
- Alethra responds, "May Mishakal save us. I will do what I can for the refugees. You should come with them. Take care of yourself."
- T then Sends to her mother, "Mumsy, spell again. Are you well? Ruins of Arrandale overrun with Dark Elves. Is Cora well? Do you know? Still working on Eldon."
- Cora Groundswallow responds, "We are camped near Colebrook. I haven't heard from Cora or Eldon. We will stay away from Arrandale. Please stay safe."
- T sends to her sister Cora, "Cora, this is a spell. You can respond with 25 words. Are you safe? Where are you? Arrandale is overrun with Dark Elves. Love you, sis."
- Cora responds, "Thess! Where are you? Yentran and I are staying with his family in Wistaria. I haven't heard from anyone else. I'm so glad you're okay."
- T sends to Gerrard, "Have you ever wanted to meet a Dark Elf? Arrandale is now the center of Déorroth, their new surface kingdom. Kiira'Iymbryn is their queen. Hugs!"
- Gerard responds, "The Dark Elves are quite inhospitable. I was under the impression they have a general aversion to being on the surface. Oh well,"
- A few minutes later Gerrard Sends to T, "Are you asking for some kind of help? I am stronger now than I was, but I still can't take on an army."
- T responds, "They made a magical darkness creating a perpetual night. Drow NOT hospitable, but I thought they might have books you couldn't get elsewhere. Teleporting to Ambani today."
- T Sends to Mistress Whiteborn, "Mistress, Ruins of Arrandale now under Drow control. Warn your king to reinforce Mistverge and river defenses. Lellzutho destroyed. Keepers are free."
- Mistress Whiteborn responds, "The king is unconcerned about Mistverge. Rhoanor is currently trying to conquer the Kholstad Dominion. The Keepers are grateful."
- S now has everyone organized to go through her Teleportation Circle, which she activates. The refugees are now safe from the Drow.
- Felosyal remembers an old hide-out that seems to be outside the general destruction of the city to which she leads her friends.
- S thinks she can tweak her Teleportation Circle into a different teleportation spell, to get them out of trouble in a hurry if needed.

Terror from Below - July 21, 217

- Dad jokes - "Roll damage" - So bad it's funny. Not.
- Uninvited from trivia group for being too specific.
- Transporter philosophy.
- Dogs because people suck.
- Jolly Ranchers!

- Felosyal is still at Exhaustion 1 as of right now. (Disadvantage on skill checks.)
- Thessalie hears music and finds the musicians. She proposed a dance to cheer up the dour camp.
- F joins in the dancing with her friend.
- Sharai casts an illusion of herself dancing and hides in the shadows. She does not dance.
- T dances for quite a while.
- S goes and hangs our with Godrigon who is reading a book just outside his tent. It is a religious treatise. On Paladine of course.
- S shows Godrigon an image of Talathon. No recognition.
- Godrigon thinks if there is a necromancer, Talathon or not, he would probably have ensconced himself in the remains of the government palace.
- S fills in Godrigon on the state of Herimond, such as it was.
- S proposes using a Teleportation Circle to send the refugees to Mistverge or the elves. He says he will discuss it with Captain Amastacia.
- F dances and then sits by a camp fire with Mialee to chat.
- Mialee suspects the other campfires are the dark elves.
- T shows up to take a break from dancing, and starts to worry about whether Mishakal's destruction of Lellutho gave Takhisis an opening to interfere in this realm.
- There is resting. In a Hut.
- T is very sore from dancing so much. (Exhaustion1)
- F is feeling much better, though.
- FST are brought food. T is sad to not have helped feed everyone with her spell. S cheers her up with mention of being able to have a perfectly nutritious second breakfast.
- While eating, the earth starts to shake, and there is screaming and commotion from the south end of the camp. FST start running to the commotion. So do the captain and the father.
- There is a huge creature that looks like a cross between a crocodile and a centipede. It's dark blue with a lighter blue underbelly. It came out of a very large hole in the ground that it clearly dug.
- T tries yelling "Bad under creature! Bad!" It doesn't notice her.

Crocipede Combat

- S has never seen anything like this in her century of life. She moves into the tents where she can gain cover quickly and casts Fireball such that the tents and Cits are out of the way for 37 fire dmg on the Crocipede. She then moves back behind the tent for Half-Cover. (+2 AC and +2 Dex ST)
- Godrigon casts Insect Plague on the creature for 13 piercing dmg.
- T casts Warding Bond on F (+1 AC, +1 ST, resistance to all dmg), casts Spiritual Weapon on the CP for 8 force dmg, then moves around away from the group of her allies.
- F moves back and misses with her longbow. She Hides very well behind a tent.
- CP moves and breaths lightning on Mialee and S for 73 lightning dmg. S reacts with Hellish Rebuke for 28 fire dmg. The CP then moves out of the Insect Plague zone crushing some tents.
- M attacks CP with her swords, hitting once and missing with the second, for 9 slashing dmg. Then she then does it again with her Action Surge this time hitting twice for 7 slashing dmg and 5 slashing dmg.
- S steps up to the creature casts Vampiric Touch dealing 20 necrotic dmg and gaining 10 HP.
- G casts Cure Wounds at Level 4 on M for 23 HP. The Insect Plague zone disappears.
- T casts Flamestrike on the CP for 10 radiant dmg and 8 fire dmg then misses with her SW.
- F moves to flank the CP with M and then stabs it with her magicky dagger for 29 piercing dmg, but it is unaffected by the poison. She then misses slicing it with her longsword.
- CP roars and charges over S and M and runs up the wall. Both miss their opportunity attacks. It pauses at the top of the wall, then disappears over the edge.

Friends in Low Places - July 7, 2017

- FST find a defensible position in the lee of a hill between some large rocks.
- Sharai casts Leomund's Tiny Hut
- There is talking.
- After she trances, S sends to Tholnor "Danger here. Need to send the girl early. Please advise if your circle is safe for arrival as soon as possible."
- Tholnor returns, "The circle is safe. You may send her now if you wish, and I will meet her soon. Please instruct her to stay near the circle."
- S gives the following description to Tanalia to describe Tholnor, about 5'-10" tall, silver hair, one green eye and one blue, and tends to wear fancy, embroidered robes
- Felosyal is worn out mentally from the constant dark state (Exhaustion Level 1)
- The group resumes their telepathically bonded with F flying to scout, and they notice there are still ghosts around, and they almost seem to be doing patrols the closer FST get to Arrandale. There are also some of the creatures from Bleberry, but they do not seem to be organized.
- After another hour or two of traveling like this Tholnor Sends to S acknowledging receipt of the girl and the packet she carried and thanks her for the included 50 GP. S responds, "Thank you, busy with ghosts."
- Eventually, FST arrive at what was once the city wall. It is still mostly intact on the east side of the city, but it seems to be mostly destroyed on the west side.
- From the air, F sees groups of light sources (camp fires?), one along the east wall and several in the destroyed western part of the city. Also a few near the palace, but there is something occluding her view to that part of the city, but she can't tell what it is. The big thing is not too irregular in shape.
- F grew up in Arrandale, so she knows an entry point to the sewer system, but it's at the northeast corner of the city. FST are approaching from the south, so they decide to pass the camp at the east. As they pass it, F Stealths over the to take a look. The camp seems to be made of townspeople. Very few are armed. They have been brought low indeed.
- FST decide to approach the camp. F takes point.
- There is much surprise.
- "We came from Bleberry!"
- They are taken to Father Godridgon, a priest of Paladine. He is a tall man, built like a barrel, wearing a tall white hat bearing an embroidered silver triangle that is on fire with Eternal Flame.
- T walks right up to him and says, "Greetings Guardian of Honor." He responds with, "What, ho?"
- Everyone turns to look, and it is at that point when an elven woman cries, "Fayla!" and runs to Felosyal and hugs her in a giant, tight bear hug.
- F introduces her to S & T as Mialee Amastacia, or Captain Amastacia, her only childhood friend.
- Mialee tells the story of the Ruin of Arrandale.
- Every time T opens her mouth S kicks her.
- In the privacy of Godridgon's tent, T tells the long rambling story of how her brother became possessed by Lellzutho.
- Mialee says there may be Dark Elves (Drow) around.
- Felosyal is Exhausted, so the girls decide to rest here in the camp for a while.

Letters:

Master Tholnor,

There is a letter for my mother with this messenger. I have not addressed it nor included information which would endanger my family. Feel free to read and redact any information inside before forwarding to her.

This girl is Tanalia.  During the evacuation of her village, she got separated from her people.  Please keep her safe and educate her. My parents can help, but I implore you to be a steady influence for her as you have been for me.

She is carrying items belonging to her mother.  I do not carry the components for Scrying, but I am assuming you can attempt this for her. Sending her to you allows us to continue our journey.  I am in your debt.

I remain your most faithful student and I continue to think about the letter you gave me when I left Ambonie.

I have learned a great many lessons since leaving you.

I am traveling with several companions.

One is a halfling who is so small that sometimes I find myself hard pressed to remember she is a full grown example of her race. I met her mother though and was forced to admit that she is fully matured.  It is her brother who had the bad luck to go adventuring and have fall into his hands an old and evil relic.  We are slowly trying to unravel the tapestry of evil that was released through that circumstance.

The Other is an Elf of the wood.  She is hard to get to know and I do not know much about who she is or of her upbringing.  I have been her companion long enough to feel like I can trust her not to kill me while I trance and also to not let someone sneak up and kill me while I am awake.

I have met several great wizards from the other great races.  From dragons to dwarves,  Druids to Necromancers I have seen many things.  I fear that the necromancer I spoke of is even as we speak trying to take over.  Time will tell.

We are in the middle of a growing magical darkness.  I do not know what will happen in the coming days.

I received your message imploring me to send my best explanation for where I am and assurances that my health and person are well.

I have traveled widely since you have been in my presence. I finished my education under the oversight of the great wizards who helped bring the war to a close. Since that time I have seen many great things.

I've traveled our land in search of answers to my own internal inquiries and to a lesser extent I have tried my best to be a good Elf, a great wizard and to earn the respect of those I travel with.

I had thought that I was respecting your wishes when I remained out of contact. You were very specific that the consequences of my joining the war effort was cutting ties and no longer being allowed to use the privilege that comes from being your daughter. I have used the surname (name redacted). No one is aware of who you are, or how we relate. To be honest, it seems silly for the trouble now, the daughter of a minor noble family, the world is so big, what seemed big then no longer seems so large an issue.

I have met dragons, and I have met dwarves. I am living a good life. Be happy for me.  I am not in regular contact with Tholnar so please stop bothering him. He has many duties and responsibilities and he knows that you are worried. He will tell you if he can and if he knows, of whether I am safe. I  am not in that habit of writing correspondence nor is there many safe ways to send it these days.

Bleberry Needs a Sheriff - June 23, 2017

- No Movers and Dragons tonight
- Tanalia goes upstairs and sleeps in a room probably intended for children as it has two small beds. Thessalie sleeps in the other little bed while Sharai Trances in a chair in that room as well. Felosyal climbs onto the roof to spend a few hours keeping watch.
- During her Trance Felosyal notices movement over there in the city. They are humanoid looking with long arms that nearly drag the ground and seems to be corporeal. They are waddle-running towards the house in which the girls are holed-up.
- F climbs down the wall, knocks on the window and gives some Army hand signals to S to tell her there are 5 enemies incoming from that direction.
- There is a crash from downstairs. It is followed by a screeching sound. Not good.
- S, T, & Tanalia barricade the door with the dresser in front of the door.
- S throws something heavy through the window then uses her staff to clean out the biggest blade of glass. T is tying off a rope so the trio can repel down the side of the house.

SKILLZ CHALLENGE
Goal: Get out of the house and its immediate environs to an at least somewhat defensible position in which to cast Leomund's Tiny Hut so they can then cast the Teleportation circle to get Tanalia out of harm's way. Then they will worry about the attackers.

- Sharai with the help of Thessalie and Tanalia barricades the door with the heavy dresser (Strength 18 - Success)
- Thessalie ties off the rope, drops the packs out of the window, and repels down as quickly as she can (Acrobatics 16 - Success)
- Felosyal pauses as she climbs down the house to listen and watch the situation. (Perception 15 - Failure) The things look like bird people with beaks on their faces and long curving talons coming out of what would be an elbow on a human and are cawing to each other. She, however, has no idea where her friends are.
- S casts Web over the dresser while Tanalia climbs down the rope. (Arcana 24 - Success)
- Tanalia gets to the bottom of the rope and starts to take off running because she's so freaked out. Thess has to grab her as quickly as she can convince her to calm down and stay with her and S for her own protection (Persuasion 17 - Success)
- F is on a lower part and sees Tanalia's run for freedom and sees her get stopped by Thess. She starts yelling at the things to distract them from her friends, and one of the creatures leaps onto the roof with her and takes a swipe at her with its giant talon. (Survival 15 - Failure)
- S pulls her bow out to try and shoot the thing, but misses (Dexterity 11 - Failure)

BLEBERRY BATTLE

- Thessalie urges Tanalia to get behind her and stick close, which she does, then T casts Spirit Guardians. She then casts Spiritual Weapon on the BirdThing7 for 10 force dmg.
- Sharai moves to the end of the alley and casts Fireball on the three BTs in the lane, BT1, BT5, and BT6 all take 25 fire dmg. She then gives Tanalia a tiny drop of Calming Potion

- T casts Flame Strike on BT1, BT6, and BT7 all take 22 Fire / Radiant dmg. Then she attacks BT7 with her SW. The house is now definitely on fire.
- S casts Haste on F
- BT6 takes 9 radiant SG dmg then swings at S with its left hook for 11 piercing dmg, losing her Concentration on the Haste spell, then misses with its right hook
- BT1 takes 18 radiant SG dmg and dies
- BT5 moves into the location BT1 just died in and takes 12 radiant SG dmg then swings its left hook at Thess for 9 piercing dmg then smashes its right hook into her for 20 piercing dmg
- BT2 runs to the edge of the roof to watch the action in the alley

- F attacks BT7 with her magicky dagger for for 38 piercing dmg killing it then she activates the Poison on her magicky dagger she then she spins around and stabs it into BT8 for 8 piercing dmg, the spell then breaks and she's panting.
- BT8 takes 11 radiant SG dmg then swings its left hook at F missing then misses again with its right hook
- BT4 takes the place over the dead body of BT7 then takes 8 radiant SG dmg, then jabs her with its left hook for 13 piercing dmg and misses with its right hook
- Thess casts Prayer of Healing on the protagonists for 23 HP, Tanalia is now awake at full health (8 HP), then smashes her SW into BT4 for 13 force dmg.
- S yells for Tanalia to cover her face then casts Fireball in the middle of everything, BT6 and BT5 die, the rest of the BTs all take 41 fire dmg. The house next door is now also on fire.
- BT2 tries to jump onto the upper roof but it falls through the roof into the burning house.
- BT3 jumps to the ground and moves into the alley taking 11 radiant SG dmg.
- Felosyal is panting from the lethargy of the lost Haste spell
- BT8 takes 13 radiant SG dmg then misses F with its left hook then smacks her with the right hook for 16 piercing dmg.
- BT4 takes 9 radiant SG dmg hits T with its left hook for 15 piercing dmg then hits her with its right hook for 8 piercing dmg
- Thess casts Cure Wounds on herself for 30 HP, then hits BT4 for 11 force dmg from the SW.
- S casts Magic Missile on BT3 for 18 dmg and it dies

- The group pull Tanalia up and make a run for it as the two burning building are now creating a beacon in the dark area and there are screeches off in the distance.

The Story of a Girl - June 16, 2017

- Sharai casts Rary's Telepathic Bond, and Felosyal takes off with her cloak to scout
- Progress is made, but it is slow going.
- It's been nearly a week, and the sun still hasn't pierced the necromantic energy
- After three days of traveling in this manner, they arrive in the town of Bleberry, which is about a day's travel from Arrandale. It is deserted.
- Sharai suggests that they find the nicest house in town and sleep there. F says that sounds good. Thessalie just wants to go inside where it's less weird for it to be dark.
- They find a nice house and go inside. It looks like the owners left quickly, but there's no sign of looting.
- T casts Detect Magic as a ritual and sense nothing in the house
- S goes to check out the kitchen and finds lots of cookware, a large fireplace, stairs down to what is probably a root cellar. There's a bunch of grapes on the counter that are very shriveled and a bit moldy. Using this clue she believes this house was abandoned between 1 and 2 weeks ago. Lellzutho was destroyed about three and half weeks ago so this may not be directly related.  Down in the larder, S uses Prestidigitation to casts a bit of light because it's so dark, and she sees something move out of the corner of her eye.
- Felosyal wanders up to the second floor and starts going through the bedrooms finding jewelry and a safe. She easily pops the safe and finds some neat rolls of coins.
- S finds a young elven girl with golden brown hair hiding and trying her hardest to be invisible. S greets her, and she responds timidly "Don't hurt me."
- T greets her with "Happiness finds a way."
- Her name is Tanalia. She got lost in the exodus. She's confused, dirty, and has minor scrapes and bruises.
- T takes her upstairs and bathes her small injuries and helps her wash her hair.
- S makes dinner in the meantime.
- Over dinner, T continues to make polite chitchat with Tanalia. Tanlia lived in Bleberry with her mom, Seldanna, but she doesn't know any of her other family members or her family name.
- S suggests that they scry for Seldanna, and if they can't see her they send Tanalia to her parents at least for the time being.
- After they tidy up from dinner, they head to Tanalia's house to get something of her mother's for the scrying spell.
- Her house is a small place near the edge of town. It is at that point that S realizes that they do not have an appropriate focus for a scrying spell.
- They pack Tanalia's things and Seldanna's as well. While T helps the girl pack, S writes a detailed letter to Tholnor explaining Tanalia's situation, but she Sends to him, "Found a girl during quest to save the world who needs refuge and care. When to send through teleportation circle at Monalotsoa?"
- She hears in return, "I will help the child as best I am able. Please send her at noon tomorrow. Also please update your parents via Sending. They grow tiresome."
- T asks how they're going to know when noon is since they can't see the sky.
- Tholnor Sends to S, "Just realized you're not here. Sorry. Please send the girl in approximately 16 hours. I must be getting old."
- Sharai returns, "Included with inbound traveler: items to help you scry her mother, one letter for you with details of my journey, one letter for my mother."

- As we are attempting to make a plan, Milo-cat's feeder malfunction and we spend a bit of time trying to fix it.
- Thess tries Divine Intervention to get Phantom Steeds for a day, but does not succeed
- F suggests that she use her cloak to fly ahead and scout the area out of the general range of the undead, and S says she can psychically link the group so that F can warn her land-bound companions of danger as they proceed on foot

Battle Royale - May 19, 2017

- New plan: fight through hordes of undead, take care of the problem in the ruins of Arrandale so that Thessalie can spend the time to Resurrect Eldon
- Long Term Goal: Destroy Lellzutho's sword, but first FST need to figure out how
- Thorzin says most of the undead seem to be Ghosts.
- Thorzin will stay in his tower and keep it safe so the girls have a safe place to retreat if needed. He is very glad to stay behind. (Thorzin is a Divination wizard compared to Sharai's Evocation wizardry.)
- The next morning, FST get up and have brekkie, and then get back on the road to Arrandale.
- The farther the girls travel the more and more overcast the sky becomes until it's nearly as dark as night.
- There are no visible ghosts, but there is an ominous feeling. S feels the ominousness with her magically senses as well.
- The more they travel there starts to be debris and the road starts to be in disrepair.
- F notices movement in a nearby field out of the corner of her eye. She looks closer and sees something that looks human shaped way over there, but can't see any more detail than human-shaped.
- She points it out to T which also gets S's attention. S casts Leomund's Tiny Hut as a ritual.
- F throws a rock in that general direction and hits the ground next to the thing. It appears to be looking around. It appears to be floating above the ground.
- FST decide to rest until morning at this point.
- After another little bit of time, some of the floating, glowing orbs appear and try to convince FS to "come play" by which they mean get attacked by ghosts.
- After S and F finish Trancing, there are now six floating orbs around the edges of the Hut.
- The clouds are too thick to give any distinction about the time of day.
- When the Hut pops into non-existence, there are 8 orbs.
- They start closing in, S wakes T, she Turns Undead, 5 of the 8 orbs explode.
- The remaining three orbs making a wailing sound and move to attack

Orb Battle
- Felosyal moves adjacent to Orb1, activates the poison in her magicky dagger, then stabs it for 10 piercing dmg. It is immune to poison. Then she misses it with her longsword.
- Thessalie misses O2 with Guiding Bolt then misses it with Spiritual Weapon as well.
- A ghost skeleton with an incorporeal sword appears and moves towards the group.
- O1 misses F with its melee spell attack.
- O2 flies through S (it feels cold), then hits her for 6 lightning dmg.
- GS2 appears and moves to F, misses her twice
- Sharai knows that undead are immune to necrotic, poison, and cold dmg. They are resistant to fire, acid, lightning, thunder, bludgeoning, piercing, slashing dmg (from non-magical weapons). The are also immune to the conditions Charmed, Frightened, Grappled, Paralyzed, Prone, and Restrained. Now that the situation is properly assessed, she casts Eldritch Blast on O2 for 15 force dmg.
- O3 moves to T and misses her.
- F Disengages from O1 and GS2, moves to flank O2 with S then murders it into a poof of grossness
- T Turns Undead again, O1 is destroyed, O3 is unaffected, GS1 is Turned, GS2 is unaffected. Then she uses her Spiritual Weapon on O3 for 5 force dmg.
- GS1 runs 5 sq away.
- GS2 moves adjacent to T and slashes her for 11 slashing dmg and 6 cold dmg then misses her.
- A human-looking ghost zombie with torn flesh and tattered armor wielding a spectral flail appears and moves adjacent to S, then hits her with the flail for 24 bludgeoning dmg and 5 cold dmg.
- S casts Chain Lightning on GZ, O3, and GS2 for 8 lightning dmg.
- A little girl ghost who looks horrifying with no skin on her face and bones poking through her muscles appears and moves adjacent towards the group and screams a horrifying wail. S & T take 13 psychic dmg and F drops to 0 HP.
- O3 moves between S & T and misses T then it moves away from T she stabs it with her dagger for 3 piercing dmg and 2 radiant dmg, then moves towards F and does not manage to consume her life energy.
- F's amulet auto-stabilizes her, so she does not make a Death ST.
- T casts Blade Barrier in a 60' diameter circle around FST such that GS2 and GZ are among the blades. Then the SW hits the GS2 for 12 force dmg.
- GS1 runs away some more.
- GS2 takes 38 magicky slashing dmg and dies.
- GZ takes 13 magicky slashing dmg then hits S for 6 bludgeoning and 4 cold dmg. Then again for 7 bludgeoning dmg and 3 cold dmg. Then he Disengages moves away from T inside the Blade Barrier.
- S casts Prayer of Healing so FST regain 16 HP.
- GZ3 appears and charges into the Blade Barrier taking 29 magicky slashing dmg. Then it attacks T for 18 bludgeoning and 4 cold dmg.
- GG sends a ball of sonic force at S for 9 thunder dmg.
- O3 attacks F for 8 lightning dmg.
- F stands up and stabs O3 with her magicky dagger for 26 piercing dmg. It dies. Then she Hides as a bonus action for a Hide score of 15.
- T casts Heal on F for 78 HP, then hits GZ3 for 11 force dmg.
- GS1 runs away from the battle.
- GZ1 charges F and misses.
- S moves to flank GZ1 with F and casts Eldritch Blast on it for 11 force dmg.
- GZ3 takes 34 magicky slashing dmg from the Blade Barrier and dies.
- GG sends another ball of energy at S for 17 thunder dmg.
- F stabs GZ1 for 59 magicky piercing dmg ultra-killing it. She Hides as a bonus action gaining a Hide score of 28.
- T casts Guiding Bolt on GG for 13 radiant dmg then hits it with her SW for 12 force dmg.
- S casts Eldritch Blast on GG for 35 force dmg killing her.

- S casts Leomund's Tiny Hut and all the girls pant excessively.

- Sharai groups the girls together and casts Leomund's Tiny Hut so they cannot be attacked for a while
- T casts Prayer of Healing on herself and F for 20HP
- After Short Rest, T is at 103 HP and F is at full health.
- S checks the carts, they are badly damaged and empty
- F goes and checks the dead body, he has 261 GP (87 GP ea)

- After a few more days of travel, F notices another group  of men hiding in the bushes, but as they near, those men turn and run.

- Another day or two of travel after that, they come upon a large group (maybe 100 people) some with wagons.
- T spends an hour or two casts Create Food and Water to feed everyone dinner.
- One of the travelers says he was a brewer in Arrandale, but the city is pretty much a pile of rubble.
- FST spend a day or two with the large group providing food and water while Mending things.

- After another few days of travel, FST come upon a large clearing littered with the tools of war. There are piles of armor and weapon. There are wagons full of munitions. There are a few siege weapons. Some of the armor and weapons look like they once had people in them, but the bodies have disappeared. The army seems to have been made up of soldiers from the Houses Mondhal, Arnell, and Breland. There are no Rhoanor on this field.
- While F is looking through some of the armor (most of it has clothes, smallclothes, personal effects, and the like inside), S & T look around past the edges of the clearing and they notice a tower on a hill a few hours walk away
- T spends most of the afternoon blessing the field of the (assumed) dead by walking the perimeter and then a figure 8 pattern (symbol of Mishakal) asking that Mishakal guide the spirits of the dead to a restful afterlife.
- After the sanctification ritual, FST walk towards the tower. They reach it at dusk.
- S notes that the big double door entry to the tower is covered in protectice runes.
- T knocks politely on the door. FST all feel a presence watching them.
- S in particular realizes that they are being scried or similar.
- T says, "Hello?" There's an almost audible pop, then runes on the door glow blue and then fade into the door, and the doors open enough for them to enter.
- There is a short, roly-poly man with a beard, maybe a half-human, half-halfing. His name is Thorzin. He knows the girls because he is acquainted with Mistress Whiteborn of Rhoanor. He was the equivalent of her position for the Hedrimond ruling Counsel back when it existed.
- He helped by Scrying events on the borders.
- He knows that the elves have moved south and now occupy a large area of the northern plains. Along the eastern coast they have moved as far as the Little Tooth. (Basically they took Breland and Arnell's territory.)
- The orcs have descended from the mountains and now occupy most of the land once ruled by House Dalen.
- House Kolstad is the only ruling house left, and they have their area and the area once ruled by House Berg.
- T asks if he could Scry F's parents. He might be able to if she has an item or something that belonged to them.
- He saw an enormous, blue angel with giant wings and sword as large it was descended from the heavens and battled with the tiny, chaos Lellzutho-Eldon monster until it was fully destroyed then it ascended back into the heavens.
- He warns them that something nefarious is developing in the ruined city of Arrandale. Something has warded the city against Scrying.
- Also there are undead occupying most of the land from the crossroads to Arrandale.
- S shares with Thorzin the "address" for the library at Meuhlhorn now that he is forceable retired from his duties to Hedrimond by the destuction of Hedrimond.

A New Mission - April 28, 2017

- Time spent leveling. . .
- Time spent looking at the WotC website at the new feats and spells and things

- The guard carries Thessalie (who is throwing an epic tantrum) into a back room (which is not a proper holding cell). There is no window.
- Thessalie has an angry conversation with a guard after a minuter or two of fussing at the door to be let out. Then once she's locked back into the room she goes over to the door and casts Sacred Flame at the lock to melt it. It takes a while.
- Meanwhile back at the ranch, the elves outside scout the building and find three more entrances to the building. They listen at the door that corresponds to the hallway Sharai saw them take T. They start listening at the door. They hear:
- A guard notices that the lock has started melting and there is another angry exchange. "I will keep causing little troubles that don't hurt anyone if you don't take me to the Temple." Mend the lock. "There prove that I caused trouble!"
- F & S head straight to the Temple of Mishakal, easily beating T and her guard.
- They are talking to Alethra when T and her guard arrive.
- She is remanded into Alethra custody and told not to make trouble and not to return to City Hall.
- Alethra informs them that the city is open and people are free to come and go, so there's no need to sneak out of the city. Also, Port Carling may have been destroyed. Possibly by the tiny Lellzutho monster inhabiting Eldon's body.
- Alethra sets them up with rooms (monk cells) to rest.
- In the middle of that afternoon, while reviewing her spellbook, Sharai receives, "Your parents have become aware of unrest in Hedrimond and are concerned. Please advise as to your condition and location et cetera." She recognizes the voice as Tholnor her instructor from Ambani." (unrest = understatement of the century)
- She responds, "Hedrimond is decimated. Trying to help. I'm safe and unharmed. My education is ongoing and not yet complete."
- F goes off into the city to find some trouble.
- T asks Alethra for use of the Ritual Room to cast Planar Ally. A 7' tall, muscular man with pale blue skin, and wings (?) in a Roman tunic appears. "I am Omrel an Aasimar of Mishakal."
- She asks Omrel to check on Arrandale and her brother and agrees to aid the refugees from Arrandale in exchange.
- Eldon's body is not in Arrandale, but his life energy stains the ground.
- F & S both agree to stick with T while she heads to Arrandale.
- After about two days of travel, they meet an old man, share their dinner and news with him. He sounds like he might have pneumonia or bronchitis, so T casts Lesser Restoration on him They also protect him in their hut so that he has a good night's rest.
- He dies in the night, but T uses Raise Dead to bring him back. They spend a couple of days making sure he's going to recover properly before sending him on again.
- A few more days of travel towards Arrandale and the girls come upon a wagon wreck, but F notices a group of men trying to conceal themselves in the bushes over them.
- They demand all the girls' valuables, and the girls refuse naturally. Weapons are drawn on both sides.

Caught! - April 21, 2017

- No candy for Katie! Or at least, she didn't bring any. . .

- Sending can now only be cast to the receiving person once per day as a ritual.

- Sharai uses the big gilt mirror in Gerard's library to Scry on Eldon. She uses a tiny drop of Thessalie's blood as a focus since they are siblings. (-5 to his Wis ST for the pretty good focus)
- She sees a lot of rubble. There are many buildings that have been destroyed. There's a large piece of wall that is still standing over there. Off in the distance there are want appear to be tents and smoke. She does not see Eldon.
- The spell worked, Eldon should, maybe still be alive. Maybe.
- S suggest Teleporting to Mistverge then traveling overland to Arrandale.
- T does a Sending to Alethra in Mistverge for news, "Lellzutho destroyed, maybe. Need to confirm. What news of Mistverge? Still under siege? Is magic circle intact? Have you heard anything of Arrandale. Love, Thess."
- Alethra returns, "Mistverge has been annexed by Rhoanor. The magic circle is intact, but may be guarded. We have had no news from Arrandale. Please be careful."
- Thessalie says in "Evlish" "Chestnut crackers!" then tells the party what Alethra said.
- There is a discussion about how bad T's Elvish is (again).
- S gives Gerard the sigals to Teleport to Muehlehorn so he can visit the Dwoids if he's like.
- S casts Greater Invisbility on Felosyal and then she activates the Teleportation Circle to Mistverge and FST go through.
- As soon as they enter the room there's a flash of light, and then the walls glow blue. It is a magically force field.
- T casts Dispel Magic and the blue glow disappears with an audible pop.
- F checks one of the two doors for traps. It does not appear to be trapped.
          - This door leads to a room that looks like a senate chambers. It is empty. F is no longer invisible.
- S checks the other door. It does not appear to be trapped.
          - This door leads to an atrium / lobby. There are guards with Crest of Rhoanor. S tells them she was sent to clean. She steps into the room and closes the door behind her so that they don't see F or T. They "take her for questioning".

SKILLZ CHALLENGE to get past the guards
- S rolls Arcana to cast Greater Invsibility on herself, but the guard grabbed her arm as she was casting the spell, so she's Invisible but Grabbed. (Arcana 17 - FAILURE)
- F pops the door open and Stealths into the room (Stealth 31 - SUCCESS)
- T watchs the guards to see how they are reacting to their invisible captive, and then judges their pattern to dart through them to the exterior door (Insight 26 - SUCCESS)
- S pulls the guard's tunic over his head so that he lets go of her (Sleight of Hand 20 - SUCCESS)
- F is trying to look over her shoulder at what's going on with S when she runs smack into another guard (Perception 14 - FAILURE)
- T casts Stone Shape at the stone floor of the guard now holding F so that he falls over backwards and lets go of her (Wisdom 20 - SUCCESS)
- S tries to go out the door and side-step the door so that she can watch where F & T go, but she slows too much and T runs smack into her at full speed. She flies backwards and gets jumped by all the guards screaming shrilly the entire while. S falls forward down the steps landing in a heap, but is still Invisible (Stealth 10 - FAILURE)

And Away We Go - March 24, 2017

- Over the next week, Sharai learns Greater Invisibility, Rory's Telepathic Bond, & Scrying from the Dwoids
- What S learned: the spell that destroyed Lellzutho just blew him to bits, making a huge mess, and leaving parts. There are some notes about another spell that might be able to capture and contain Lellzutho, but it's so different from any other magic or magic style or magic spell she's ever studied or even that she can't make heads or tails of it. There's also a note that a spell that altered reality might also do the trick (i.e. Wish).
- Early one morning, Sharai hears Gerard's voice in her head, "If you still live, you should know Lellzutho is whole again. Daganth is dead. Main land likely under attack. I fear we are lost."
- "We're still alive. We'll contact you with more information soon."
- Sharai hunts down Thessalie and give her the bad news as bluntly as ever.
- There is much sniffling.
- A few hours later, when it's actually time to get up for the day, Thessalie again begs Mishakal to destroy Lellzutho, and something actually happens this time. There's a bright light and T is filled with a momentary feeling of peace and removal of all stress.
- She tells her friends about her experience.
- S asks about Dwarven teleportation circles. She learns the one for Muhlhorn and a possible one for Lagendorf, though Lagendorf is an unknown situation. FST can now transport between Mistverge, Gerard's cave, Monalotsoa, Muhlehorn, & Lagendorf.
- FST pack up their stuff and Porter Unit 4 shows up with packages from Ulfgrim. They also get magicky stuff! Wand of the War Mage +3 for S (+3 to Spell Attack Rolls, ignore half-cover). Ring of Regeneration for T (Regain 1d6 HP every ten mintues, can regrow limbs). Cloak - Wings of Flying for F (Fly speed of 60ft for 1 hour, can use again after 1d12 hours), then the girls go thank and bid farewell to the Dwoids. There are steely hugs from Ulgrim and sheepish waves from Beinier. 
- S activates their Teleportation Circle to take them to Gerard's, book from Dwoids as present to Gerard
- T sends to her brother Eldon, "Eldon, are you well? Has Mishakal's Intervention returned you to yourself? Where are you? Do you need help? I will come to help if needed."
- There is no response.
- T sends to her mother, "Mumsy, this is a talking spell. How is the family? How is Hedrimond? Eldon found a bad thing. Making it right. 25 words to respond."
- Cora responds with, "Thess, I'm so happy you're well. Arandale was attacked. Things are bad I hear. I'm glad your group is helping Eldon. Please take care of yourself."

The Dwoids We Were Looking For - March 3, 2017

- Skillz Challenge to get up the road, past the guardians, and into the city of Meuhlehorn
- T uses religion and radiant energy to create a reflective bubble around the trio distracting the mechanical sentries (Success!)
- F scouts ahead and helps lead the S & T around the next sentry (Stealth - Success!)
- S tries to lead along a gully, but steps on a rock and it rolls down the hill. There's a cranking sound and then the whirring noise starts to get louder. (Survival - Fail)
- T heals her twisted ankle (Medicine - Success!)
- F takes a quick look around and realizes there's one behind them and one coming in from their right (Perception - Success!)
- S sends F & T off while she runs toward the one on the right, then when it starts to chase her teleport with Misty Step to her friends (Arcana - Success!)
- The girls dash to the city wall, and there's all this rubble, and T tries to parkour around and over a series of large boulders, but slips and splats against the side getting the wind knocked out of her (Acrobatics - Fail)
- F dashes over to another area to make a loud noise to distract the mechanical swarm they can hear nearby, then Stealths back to her companions (Stealth - Sucess!)

Win!

FST are now backs to the wall hidden behind a bit of rubble next to the closed gate. The city is built half into the side of a cliff on a mountain such that the walls arch out of the cliff and come to this obvious gate. The wall isn't pristine, but it does look maintained and all the construction and patches look like a consistent construction type. The gate has no obvious hinges or seams.

F throws a rope with a grapple so that it catches the top of the gate, then they all take turns trying to climb the rope. Unsuccessfully and hilarious. Finally, while S is trying to climb she accidentally starts swinging and bonks bonks bonks against the door.

A person-sized portion in the middle of the gate lowers into the ground and a 6-foot tall mechanical man wearing a metal top hat steps out and looks at FST. He is Porter Unit 4.

T says they just want to see the library. F Persuades him that they need to access library for a vital mission involving Lellzutho.

PU4 bring thing another mechanical looking man who is about 4-feet with a metal beard and six cylinders, three silver & three brown, that spin intermittently. He is Beinier, the Assistant Record Keeper. He leads them to the library. There are recognizable books, manuscripts, and scrolls, but also crystalline structures and many of the brown cylinders stacked.

Ulfgrim is the Record Keeper. He looks much like Beinier and is very surprised to see visitors as it has been 274 years since the last one.

Storytime with Ulfgrim:
- Showdown with Lellzutho creature. It was a dwarven sorcerer who summoned him in the first place.
- The plague that killed the kobolds is what killed all the dwarves when they brought the Lellzutho sword back to the castle as a trophy after his defeat.
- When the disease set in, the extremely mechanically magic minded dwarves built mechanical dwarves and recorded their brains into these Dwarven Androids. Dwoids if you will.
- His catalog log is damaged and T Mends it so that he can remember where the Lellzutho information is stored

- Ulfgrim says there is another Dwoid who was damaged by falling rocks after a minor quake, and wonders if her spell could maybe help fix her. T agrees to try.

- 3,100 XP ea. for 79, 890 XO total ea.











A Conundrum - February 24, 2017

- Prime Rib Roast - Nuh uh!

- Felosyal disappears off down the tunnel. The last Tunneler is still tied up, so she murderizes it easily and collects the claw.
- The giant lets the girls hold onto the rope then just lifts them out.
- Back at the giant's village, Gromnir's grandson answers the door. There is some 'splaining.
- Gromnir is impressed.
- A Surfacewalker will accompany them to the City of Machines the next day.
- T asks a random giant in the hallways how long Giants live. Answer: Between 250-300 years.
- The next morning, T is roused (The elves still don't sleep.) by a loud thumping knock. S invites him to enter in a welcoming voice.
- Hugrug is a giant with stony protrusions coming out of his chest and back.
- FST say goodbye to Gromnir, and then head out to meet Hugrug and his cart, which is entirely made of stone and is pulled by two very large bears.
- H helps the girls into the back of the cart, and they set off.

- CAKE BREAK (Apple Pie Cake - Happy Prime Number!)

- F really like Hugrug
- The next few weeks pass without much happening. Events of note:
          - A week and a half in S hears a low growling, then a large cat-like creature jumps out at the bears, but Hugrug looks into its soul stopping it from attacking, then he touches it, and it starts to turn to stone, then he sticks it onto his back where it becomes another protrusion.
          - Divine Intervention does not remove Lellzutho from the world.
          - Hugrug tells them that the city is "contaminated by contraptions"
- After nearly a month Hugrug stops one afternoon and point up a hill into some brush telling FST that this is the path.
- The narrow way soon becomes a narrow path that soon becomes an old degraded road. The elves both hear some whirring, mechanical type noises. They look around and see a metallic looking claw coming over the top of a pile of rubble. S whispers "Hide!" to T and then they all dart behind rocks.
- The claw thing climbs over the rock and it looks like a giant ant without the big thorax, then FST all realize that there's another one behind each of them where they are crouching behind their separate rock piles.

- Better Buggy Battle
- Mechanical Ant1 breaths fire at FST. T takes 26 fire dmg, S takes 13 fire dmg, F takes none.
- S stumbles back across the rocks and casts Leomund's Tiny Hut such that the girls are all in, but neither of the MA's are in.
- MA2 moves around and chitters.
- T casts Tongues on herself then sticks her head out and says, "We don't any harm, please!"
- MA2 says "Intruders must be eliminated!"
- MA1 says "Provide appropriate access codes."
- F readies an Attack if the Hut disappears
- S yells at the ants to go get their leader. "Intruders must be eliminated!" "Provide appropriate passcode."
- A Swarm of Mechanical Insects flies in
- T casts Thaumaturgy to make her voice boom loudly, "Go away! We don't want to hurt you!"
- FST decide to make camp in their Tiny Hut for a few hours to see if something more intelligent than these clockwork beings will show up.
- After about half an hour the Swarm buggers off. Nearly four hours later the two MA's also wander off.
- The girls try to hide in the bushes and rubble and creep up the path.
- After only ten minutes, T hears that whirring noise again, and there are two of the MA's charging her
- S immediately casts the Hut again
- Upon closer inspection, the construction of the insectbots resembles the Goldfish Bauble that S found, and it also seems to have some of those glowing crystals from the tower / rhinoceros buried deep in its abdomen

Tackling the Tunnelers - February 3, 2017

- S finishes her Comprehend Languages ritual
- S gets T to get Gromnir to agree to transport them to the "Machine City", but the giants will not enter the city - front claw for proof
- FST go back to bed
- The next morning, FST go find a giant who can show them where the Tunnelers' holes are
- It's tough for the little people to follow, but eventually they get to a crack in the side of the mountain with a drop into a large-ish room
- T ties off a rope
- S goes down first, then T, then F, but near the bottom F loses her grip and the girls end up in a pile. (2 falling dmg ea.)
- The room has about a 10' ceiling and 3x 8' diameter tunnels branching off it. S finds some clear claw marks going from one tunnel through the room into another tunnel and also a pile of poop. There are rocks in the poop.
- Plans for a trap are discussed. Guardian of Faith and Web come up.

- Skillz Challenge to Lure Tunnelers to Room with Giant Back-up and Exit Point (6 before 3)
- F scouts Stealthily into the busiest looking tunnel (32 - Success!) She disappears.
- S casts Web with her wand over one of the tunnel entrances to block it off (Arcana - 24 - Success!)
- T casts Guardian of Faith next to one of the other tunnel entrances (Religion - 18 - Success!)
- F sees two sleeping creatures in an enlarged area - F ties one up with her share of the rope (Sleight of Hand - 26 - Success!)
- S starts a small fire and starts cooking some stew and wafts the smells down one of the tunnels (Survival - Crit Fail!)
- T asks the giant outside to pound on the side of the mountain, he can't hear her, but he accidentally drops his club into the room making a loud clattering noise anyway (Persuasion - 12 - then 8 with Inspiration - Fail!)
- F has just finished tying up the one creature, when there's a loud clattering noise and the two creatures, and she dives into the shadows (Stealth - 21- Success!)
- S is starting to hear a rumbling sound that's getting louder, so she casts Mirror Image on herself to prepare for battle (Arcana - Nat 20!)

- Tackling the Tunnelers
- T casts Flame Strike on T3 for 13 fire and 13 radiant dmg.
- F Readies her magicky dagger for T2 to run past her and get stuck in the web.
- S casts Sleep, but non of the Tunnelers are affected.
- T2 runs into the Web gets stuck, F stabs it for 23 piercing dmg, then starts struggling against the Web, and fails to escape.
- T3 moves towards S & T
- T1 moves up to the Guardian of Faith and takes 20 radiant dmg, then turns around and runs back up the tunnel
- T casts Guiding Bolt on T3 but misses, then she casts Spiritual Weapon next to it and deals 5 force dmg
- F activates the poison on her magicky dagger and stabs it for 19 piercing dmg, but the poison has no effect
- S casts Fireball on T3 for 25 fire dmg
- T2 struggles his way out of the Web then leaps adjacent to T pouncing on her for 7 bludgeoning dmg and 9 slashing dmg and pushes her one square
- T3 leap adjacent to S pouncing on her for 6 bludgeoning and 9 slashing dmg and pushes her one square, then S reacts with Hellish Rebuke for 11 fire dmg
- T yells, "Smush it!" and the Giant clubs T3 for 19 bludgeoning dmg
- T hits T3 with Guiding Bolt for 9 radiant dmg killing it (exactly), then she moves to the other side of the opening in the ceiling and then she moves her SW closer to T2
- F yells to S, "Get rid of the Web!" S does. No more Web. F then glides along in the shadows (Hiding as a bonus action) to T2 then stabs it in the back with her magicky dagger for 24 piercing dmg then she slides around it towards the opening  in the ceiling
- S casts Fireball on T2 for 12 fire dmg
- T2 misses biting F
- T4 shows up! It leaps to T and pounces on her for 6 bludgeoning and 7 slashing dmg
- G clubs T4 for 18 bludgeoning dmg
- T1 reappears in the tunnel where the Web used to be. It leaps to F and tries to pounce on her but she's hella dodgy.
- T casts Sacred Flame on T4 for 10 radiant dmg and then misses with SW
- F Disengages from T2 and T1 and moves to flank T4 with T, and stabs it with her dagger for 24 piercing
- S casts Fireball on T1, T2, and T4: T1 takes 23 fire dmg, T2 takes 11 fire dmg, and T4 takes 23 fire dmg, then she moves behind T to prevent flanking
-  T2 leaps onto S & T, both take 6 bludgeoning dmg and 6 slashing dmg, then S reacts with Hellish Rebuke, and T2 dies!
- T4 bites T for 38 piercing dmg
- T1 leaps onto S & T for 4 bludgeoning dmg and 7 slashing dmg
- G clubs T4 for 13 bludgeoning dmg.
- T casts Prayer of Healing for 16 HP then hits T4 with SW for 11 force dmg and it dies!
- F moves to flank T1 with T and stabs it for 22 piercing dmg then she slices it with her longsword for 1 slashing dmg
- S casts Cone of Cold on T1 and now there is a frozen statue of a Tunneler
