Cryptic Dreams and a Day of Travel - March 27, 2015

• Orcs in jail / halfling rogue / missing children all just a shared dream
• letter in Dwarven from mage Kataris NOT a dream
• kippers for breakfast with bread and butter and tea
• R sneaks a strong plum wine while T explains PTSD to the bartender - R clearly an alcoholic
• Breakfast conversation:
• S in jail to spy on orc from dream
• crazy rogue
• R says S is book nerd - S no comprende "nerd"
• T verifies there are no missing children in reality with bartender
• pack up and head out to follow directions in the letter and see if that mage can answer the common dream mystery
• N through Floridale
• HAND PIES!

• directions in letter are half a day's walk north aiming at such and such mountain turn right at the big tree and you're practically there
• some pretty big dude approach from opp. direction on road after a couple of hours of walking - ORCS!
• Line gets honey spoon stuck to her teeth when she forget to take plastic off and it softens
• R draws sword to attack, T grabs her and gets dragged along - R almost catches up to orcs without even noticing halfling piggy-backing, but T & S help the two orcs get away
• R sneaks some more booze from her flask
• S climbs tree while T leads R through breathing exercises - S sees small path - orcs on their way to Floridale
• 3 follow the path - R takes T's pack since it keeps catching on bushes
• 20 min - outcropping of trees with tree house - SPIRAL STAIRCASE up tree trunk wraps 2 or 2.5 times around trunk before getting to house ~50' up
• S uses staff to "knock" on stairs and calls "Kataris!"
• T - "Name, name, name!" & "Pleased to meat you"
• R gets tea with whiskey
• S sits down in cushiest chair, but R rudely and perhaps slightly tipsily steals it from her
• Kataris the elven shaman give R a few drops of a calming draught to R when she gets worked up about the orcs again
• T - "You're welcome!" Instead of "Thank you"
• Artifact - old kingdom of Erogir (S's history check) once in the northern area near mountains - Sorcerer created legendary artifact of great power
• R pats T on head - SO MUCH POUTING of the most adorable kind
• T - settle the spirits of undead? - R - if we have time
• T - necromancer? - K - no, life force of world
• S - missing children? - T - stole my line! - K - no
• T - "I really need that recipe!"
• T - "Can we camp in your grove?" and "Yay, food!"
• S - stories about Erogir / artifact - "It's too important not to be in."
• T - "We accept!" - hand pies and fruit mix (melons, dragon fruit, and berries) for dinner
• Dinner conversation:
• 200 GP each up front plus recipe for calming draught for quest
• K - "Anything else I can do before you leave?" - T - "Fruit for breakfast!"
• Uneventful night
• T - "Magic!"
• K - artifact may be made of valuable material (gold or a gem or something)
• Cult of Shadow - group of magicians who want to instate a "Mage-ocracy"
